 The 1993 Ferrari 348 TS Serie Speciale is a rare and distinguished iteration of the iconic 348 model, showcasing Ferrari's commitment to precision engineering and performance. Limited to 100 units, this #83 in the Serie Speciale variant boasts a striking Rosso Corsa exterior, synonymous with Ferrari's racing heritage and has traveled only 10,851 miles since new. The ?Speciale? had various improvements over the standard 348 model. Technically speaking, these upgrades include a more free-flowing exhaust, a shorter final drive ratio, and a slightly wider (50mm) rear stance. Moving to the exterior, the improvements include a new front spoiler to improve aerodynamics, the removal of the grill around the taillights (making them more flush to the body), the addition of the prancing horse to the front grill, and for the first time, the bumpers, rocker panels, and engine cover were painted to match the body color. The interior received numerous upgrades as well, including F40 style Kevlar carbon fiber leather wrapped seats, leather-wrapped door panels, and the special interior badging which serves as a reminder of this model's limited production and heightened exclusivity. Performance-wise, the car features a precise and responsive five-speed manual transmission, providing enthusiasts with an engaging driving experience. The suspension and braking systems are finely tuned, ensuring optimal handling and stopping power befitting a Ferrari. Under the rear mid-engine hood lies a 3.4-liter V8 engine, delivering a thrilling 312 horsepower and a sonorous exhaust note that echoes Ferrari's racing pedigree. The removable Targa-style roof allows drivers to bask in the open-air experience, heightening the connection between driver and machine. #83 is offered in exceptional original condition and optioned with radio delete and the highly desirable F40 style Kevlar seats. Additionally, it benefits from a major engine-out service that was completed on 7/22/23 by our service department. New Michelin tires were fitted during the service and subsequently the A/C was converted to R134 Freon and a new compressor installed. #83 retains its original books and tool kit as supplied from the factory. It has been owned by two local collectors since 2012 and previously resided in Escondido, CA and Hawaii.
