Over the course of production, the GTS outnumbered the GTB by almost five to one. Browse our listings and find a Ferrari 328 for sale that fits your dream Maranello stallion.

Introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Auto Salon, the 328 arrived to fill the marque’s two-seat mid-engine niche. Fitted with a 3.2-liter V8, the 328 emerged as a finely integrated and stylized version of its predecessor. Front and rear bumpers rendered in the body color, combined with slightly more rounded architecture, modernized the 328 in its GTB and GTS versions. In the concept and production versions, the interior of the 328 GTB featured rectangular-patterned stitched sports seats and redesigned black-finished dashboard architecture to suit the premium market.

Capable of creating 270 hp, the 328 GTB would record 0-60 mph times of 5.5 seconds, and 5.9 seconds in the Targa-topped GTS version. The top speeds for the GTB and GTS were 166 and 163 mph, respectively. In addition to its rapid acceleration, the 328 proved to be a reliable and excellent handling Ferrari thanks to its four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension and anti-roll bars. Most minor maintenance on a 328 can be executed with the engine in the car, whereas many other sports cars require the engine to be lowered from below.

In 1986, the company released 2.0-liter turbocharged versions of the 328 Ferrari, designated as the GTB Turbo and GTS Turbo for the two body styles. The logic behind these titles, rather than the simpler “328 Turbo,” lies behind Ferrari’s method of including engine displacement in a model’s nomenclature. As the turbo’s displacement wouldn’t fit the original number designation, the GTB/S Turbo emerged. Unfortunately for American buyers, the turbo variant of the 328 was designed specifically for the Italian market.
