Twin Cities Performance

One of the cleanest and best maintained 308 GTSi you will find. This has been under the same ownership for over 35 years. Major service performed late summer of 2022 and also addressed oil pan, gearbox pan, and shift seal. Major service included timing belt with bearings, water pump belt and pump rebuild, replaced some fuel lines, gaskets, filters, and accumulator, Tires replaced fall of 2022. Most recent service was an oil change and annual inspection on 4/15/2025 and checked out great. All of this recent work has been performed at the official Ferrari dealer Twin Cities Performance.

This superb USA example comes from long-time Ferrarista ownership, and has been extensively modified by Carobu Engineering to 3.5 litres V8 and 270 horsepower. Mechanically sorted and exhilarating to drive, this car wonât disappoint in its performance, looks, or documentation to boot, it still remains a full numbers-matching example.    - Chassis Number F106AL 152234  - Engine Number F106AE 01828  - Gearbox Number F106AL 6080    This Ferrari was manufactured by Ferrari SpA, Maranello, Italy in 1979 for the US market. The original specification was Rosso Chiaro 20-r-190 with Beige VM3218 hide and tan carpets. The Ferrari Dino GT4 was a groundbreaking model for Ferrari in several ways: it was the first production Ferrari to feature the mid-engined V8 layout that would become the bulk of the company's business in the succeeding decades, and was the first production Ferrari with Bertone (rather than Pininfarina) designed bodywork. Pininfarina was upset by the decision to give cross-town rival Bertone the design, considering all they had done for Ferrari. The styling featured angular lines entirely different from its curvaceous 2-seater brother, the Dino 246, and was controversial at the time. Some journalists compared it to the Bertone-designed Lancia Stratos and Lamborghini Urraco, also penned by Marcello Gandini. From the cockpit the driver sees only the road. Enzo Ferrari himself took a major role in its design. the GT4 proved to be a splendid sports GT with sharp handling and excellent road manners, thanks to its short wheelbase, 240/255 horsepower engine, and gated shifter manual gearbox. A two-liter âtax saverâ variant, unique to the Italian market, made its debut in 1976 and still remains the smallest engine to ever be put in any Ferrari. Often associated with the TV show Magnum, P.I., the 308 GTS played a starring role in the series, capturing the imagination of many as it chased down criminals on the islands of Hawaii with actor Tom Selleck behind the wheel.rnrnThe 308 shared both its tube-frame platform and double-wishbone independent suspension with the Ferrari 308 GT4. Its  2,926-cubic-centimeter transversely mounted V-8 engine was rated at 240 horsepower and pushed the car to a claimed top speed of 250 km/h. rnrnThe 308 GTS entered production in 1977 two years after the 308 GTB debuted. The main difference between the two was that the GTS featured a removable roof panel. Ferrari made sure to reinforce the chassis to account for the missing roof, leaving the handling dynamics largely on par with the GTB. Removing the 308 GTS's targa top is simple, and it easily stows directly behind the rear seats.
