The Ariel West in New York City recently banned smoking inside their building for current and future residents. Most residents agreed and supported the idea, while others objected - not necessarily because they smoke, but they felt people should be able to do what they want in their own homes. Also, the rule isn't going to be enforced so to speak - the only way someone will have to pay the $150 first-offense fine is if neighbors complain. [New York Times]
