Toast the Sunsets on Clearwater Beach

Located on Clearwater Beach, an award-winning stretch of Florida’s western coast, rests Pura Vida: the height of coastal luxury living. This stunning hideaway offers its residence with privacy, serenity and spacious units unlike any other.  These twenty-two luxurious condominiums overlook the Gulf of Mexico and a white sand beach that's frequently considered one of the best in the United States.

Pura Vida is situated at the quiet north end of Pinellas County’s gorgeous, two and a half mile long barrier island, and is just a stroll away from fine shopping and dining. Each unit in the intimately scaled, boutique-style building features three bedrooms, three and a half baths, and balconies for toasting brilliant sunsets.
“It’s complete turn-key,” says project manager Kal Patel, of Avalon Land Holdings, LLC, the building developer.  “Tremendous thought and research went into the contemporary layouts and appointments.”

Spacious and open with ten-foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, the fixtures, flooring, and appliances are all high-end.  Gorgeous spa baths feature exotic stone tiles; living room wet bars include wine coolers; and Thermador appliances are specified for the sleekly modern Euro-styled kitchens.

During this build out phase, upgraded packages will be available, with buyers able to specify Miele appliances, for example. “We want to make sure the end users will be happy,” says Patel.

Individual condominiums are priced from $985,000 to $1.4 million, depending on the size of the units, which range from 2200 to 2900 square feet. The property is attracting interest from both “snow birds” and residents of nearby Sarasota, Naples, and Tampa, says Patel. With the ground scarcely broken, five units have already been reserved.

Amenities include a resort-style pool with spa jets, a well-equipped fitness facility, a spacious club room for parties and relaxation, 24-hour security, air conditioned storage and covered parking for two cars per residence.

There are a host of “green” features as well, from low emissivity windows to turtle-friendly outdoor lighting and native plant landscaping.

“This is quality you’ll be proud to live in,” says Patel.

An Artist Designed, Contemporary Masterpiece

Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico sits a one-of-a-kind artist designed and built, modern masterpiece.  Renowned artist, Darryl Pottorf designed this beautiful, contemporary home for his lifelong friend, iconic artist Robert Rauschenberg.

The 9000-square-foot home is surrounded by lush sub-tropical vegetation providing a high level of privacy. The home features clean lines with an abundance of space for entertaining and displaying art. “I wanted to design the home for Bob’s taste, art and comfortable living” stated Pottorf.

The first floor, which houses the kitchen, great room, and two half-baths is an open, flowing space rich in natural light and perfect for the display of fine art and entertaining. “Bob often invited friends such as Edward Schlossberg and his wife Caroline Kennedy, Sharon Stone, artist James Rosenquist, and David Byrne to visit, create and relax. Wolfgang Puck came on occasion to cook in the gourmet kitchen with its oversized pantry”.

The space is designed in such a way that it can accommodate an unprecedented 200 people. “Many fundraisers and benefits have been held here”, Pottorf recalls. “Bob loved helping people and believed art could change the world.  Events spanned from assisting the local hospital, animal shelters, individuals, to the arts and the environment”.

The second floor includes two master suites situated between an outdoor terrace. Both suites are equipped with sliding glass doors opening to balconies overlooking the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Large, walk-in closets and luxurious baths complete the two master suites.

The entire house is finished in rich, white Corian flooring that exudes a crisp, bright Florida vibe. The spiral staircase from the 2nd floor terrace leads right up to a breathtaking rooftop to view amazing sunsets and star gazing.

Complementing this already incredible home is the ground floor, which has been transformed into an artist’s studio space, fit for displaying works of art or creating them. The space could easily be used as a home gym, entertainment center and garage. This true masterpiece is not to be missed.

Living the Dream on Anna Maria Island

A laid-back paradise is what they call the barrier island of Anna Maria Island, on Florida’s idyllically quiet west coast.

This seven mile stretch of sugary sand and balmy breezes, just a few miles west of Bradenton and Sarasota's big city, is comprised up of three towns: Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and Anna Maria.

Watch the brilliant sunrise on the island’s bay side, the spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Slip into a beach chair with a frosty mojito in hand, wade in crystalline waters that gently lap the shore. Perhaps, fish from one of three piers. Or just watch the dolphins leap and the herons swoop.

There’s plenty to do, if you must.  Each town has a center, low rise and old-time beachy, with charming boutiques and excellent restaurants, Bradenton and Sarasota's museums, galleries and theater are just moments away.

“This is an upper income, luxury getaway,” says RE/MAX Alliance realtors Candy Conte and Ed DeLosh, who specialize in premier properties.

Now on offer is one of the islands most spectacular retreats. Nestled within mangroves, towering pines, palms, and deliciously scented frangipani, on a quiet cul-de-sac, this three-level tropical masterpiece features 12,000 square feet of glorious entertaining and living space, with 5,800 square feet under air.

Designed by award winning Seibert Architects, the Anna Maria home can have up to five-bedrooms that include two master suites with stunningly appointed interior spaces opening to sun decks, porches, and an elevated gazebo overlooking the patio, pool,  spa and Bimini Bay.

A boardwalk meanders through mangroves to a 68-foot dock, “perfect for dining al fresco,” says Conte and DeLosh.

“Everything about this place is fabulous,” the realtor adds. “It’s perfect for someone that wants a  spectacular private or vacation home – a chance to own your own slice of paradise.”
