It was nearly two years ago that the world’s largest Lamborghini dealer closed its door, VW Credit filed a lawsuit against its owners for “outright theft,” and the owner plead guilty to wire fraud charges. Viken Keuylian, the former owner of now-closed Platinum Motors also known as Lamborghini Orange County, has been released on $10,000 bond and will be allowed to leave the country for a 21-day trip to the Middle East to accompany his ailing mother on a trip. He faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and a one-million dollar fine in sentencing that has been postponed until July. He is accused of bilking $12 million from Volkswagen Credit.

A judge has decided to allow Keuylian to travel to Lebanon and Syria with his ill mother while she visits relatives. Keuylian is not considered a flight risk because the courts have allowed Keuylian to travel around the U.S. in the past two years for both business and personal reasons and he has never missed a court appearance.
