Spyker announced that through a licensing agreement it will be able to distribute an exclusive collection of high-luxury wristwatches. Working with Expressions d’Artistes International to design, manufacture, and distribute the timepieces, the Spyker collection will consist of mechanical chronographs available in either 18-karat grey gold, 18-karat rose gold, black titanium, or steel. All of the new watches will embody the same design attributes found in the Spyker cars. To ensure exclusivity, each watch will be individually numbered; a special edition reserved for Spyker owners will be engraved with the corresponding Spyker chassis number.
“Spyker Cars represent the ultimate level of luxury, design and performance in super sports cars,” said Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker-Saab, “Being myself a longtime admirer of sophisticated mechanical watches, I have personally collaborated with the design and conception of the Spyker Timepieces.”
The official launch of Spyker Timepieces will take place during the 24 Hours of Le Mans race on June 15, where Spyker is competing. After its introduction, the Spyker Timepieces will be available at carefully selected watch jewelers around the world who specialize in high-luxury watches. Retail prices will range from €7,500 for the base steel model to €23,500 for the 18-karat gold models.
