9ff builds world's fastest 911

Porsche-tuner 9ff has taken the 911 Turbo to new heights with its TR-1000—not to be confused with the T-1000, which was a killer liquid-metal shape-shifting android from the future—performance package. Supposedly built for a Greek millionaire’s 25-year-old girlfriend, the 9ff TR-1000 was able to muster a nearly inconceivable 243 mph around a test track in Papenburg, Germany. The flat-six engine utilizes larger turbochargers, improved intercoolers, a sports air filter, a revised ECU, and an enhanced exhaust system (as well as some other engine bits) to produce 1,000 hp and 767 lbs.-ft of torque. Acceleration is amazing, with zero-to-62 mph taking 3.2 seconds, 124 mph hitting 4.8 seconds after that, and 224 mph only requiring an additional 20.8 seconds.

To deal with the incredible forces that air can put on a car at that speed, 9ff has also developed a complete aerodynamic kit consisting of a front splitter, modified side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a rear wing. The suspension and brakes have also been upgraded.

The cost to own the world’s fastest 911 Turbo is approximately $186,000 more than the $132,000 price for the base car.
