*1962 Chevrolet CRC Corvette*Â There is no doubt that the C1 Corvettes Chevrolet was building in the late 1950s and early 1960s are some of the most beautiful cars to ever come out of an American manufacturer. With their sporting lines, distinctive chrome trim, and unique âcoveâ paint jobs, these cars are instantly recognizable and even 60 years after production, the car many people think about when they hear the word âCorvette.â Although the design is no doubt iconic, the driving experience of these classic cars is less fantastic - by todayâs standards, they arenât particularly fast nor very refined - but thatâs where CRC comes in. CRC stands for Classic Reflection Coachwork - a company that uses computer scanned models of classic Corvettes, to build accurate bodies out of carbon fiber, that are then installed on modern Corvette chassis.Â This 1962 CRC Corvette is based on a C5-Generation car, and the build was completed in 2025. Finished in the classic C1 color combination of red with a white side cove, this Corvette maintains the proportions of the original car, but with a more modern chassis and running gear beneath. A hallmark of the 1962 Corvette is the use of the same rear-end design that would be used on the upcoming Stingray, and the quad-rear lights which would go on to become a signature Corvette design element, used to this day. What makes this example even more appealing is the set of Custom Curtis wheels - modern alloys made to look like the hubcaps that would have come on a 1962 Corvette originally, but sized up to fit modern brakes behind them. This also allows for modern tires, which on this car are a custom set of Diamond Back Whitewalls that really complete the authentic look.Â The interior is pulled from the C5 generation Corvette, but completely re-trimmed in red and black leather by Luxor. There are numerous benefits to carrying over the C5 interior, including the seamless integration of a high-quality OEM stereo, cold air conditioning and a good heater. Additionally, one of the main complaints of people who buy a Corvette from this generation is the seating position - because of how the body is designed, you canât move the seat back and the pedals are straight out in front of you, making for a pretty awkward driving position. Thanks to the larger chassis of the C5, this car is comfortable for a road trip and fits people of all sizes.Â Powering the CRC Corvette is an 5.7-liter LS1 V8 that produces 350 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. Built with fuel injection and coil-on-plug ignition, the LS1 is one of the stoutest V8s to come from Chevrolet and offers great performance and remarkable efficiency. This engine is paired to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Although mechanicals on this car are largely stock, a custom exhaust by Speed Sports of Mesa, Arizona songs great and features killer-looking quad exit tips.Â If you have long dreamed of owning a C1 Corvette, but havenât wanted to deal with everything that comes with old car ownership, this CRC Corvette is the car for you. Heritage Cars

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was refurbished under previous ownership and acquired by the seller in 2006. The car is finished in red over black and powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a black convertible top, a Wonderbar push-button AM radio, and whitewall tires. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale. The fiberglass body was repainted in red during a body-off refurbishment under previous ownership, and the car is equipped with a black convertible top. Additional equipment includes a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers and rocker panel trim.Bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl and accompanied by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Features include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, an analog clock, lap belts, and a Wonderbar push-button AM radio. A fire extinguisher is mounted in the center console.The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressures.The last six digits of the left-hand engine stamping above match those of the VIN, which is depicted in the gallery. Engine suffix RC indicates a 327ci, 250 horsepower V8 for manual transmission applications.The car received an NCRS Top Flight Award at the Metro Long Island Chapter Meet in October 2017.

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in red over red vinyl and powered by a numbers-matching 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a white convertible top, 15â³ wheels with whitewall tires, four-wheel drum brakes, chrome bumpers, a dual-exit exhaust, rubber floor mats, and a Wonderbar AM radio.A partial body repaint in red included repainting the hood and headlight surrounds along with portions of the front fenders and passenger rear fender. Chrome trim adorns the split-bumpers, windshield trim, license plate surround, driver-side mirror, door handles, and front grille. Additional features include a white soft top, quad headlights, faux fender vents, and a dual-exit exhaust. The soft top shows discoloration and is torn, and images taken during the paint process can be referenced in the image gallery below.Steel 15â³ wheels wear spinner-style covers and bias-ply whitewall tires. The car is equipped with drum brakes on all four corners, and work reportedly completed in 2020 includes replacing the brake linings, drums, and front brake lines.The cabin is trimmed in red vinyl upholstery with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes manually-operated windows, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, an analog clock, rubber floor mats, and a Wonderbar AM radio.The engine block stamping lists number 109479, which matches the last six digits shown on the body VIN tag.
