In what amounted to a systematic, no-expense-spared rebuild, the car's solid body was completely stripped, thoroughly massaged and layered in a liquid-smooth coat of bright red 2-stage paint. With that paint buffed to brilliance, new glass was complemented with new, professionally polished trim and color-keyed quarter banners. With that profile dyed and detailed, a custom-stitched cloth folding top was artfully stretched over the cockpit.  Toss the car's long hood and you'll find a hot 6.2L all aluminum LS3 V8 that, looks ALMOST as good as it runs. That well-mannered motor twists a modern 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission, which is hooked to a tough 10 bolt rear axle and 3.55 gears. The boxed and smoothed chassis hangs tubular control arms at each corner and coil over shocks up front. Power steering provides tracking. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to 4-wheel disc brakes. And stylish Budnik polished aluminum wheels throw torque through Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Epic reflections manifest through super straight metal that wears a super glossy coat of vivid red two-stage. And today, this grand Chevy prowls the pavement as pretty much the ultimate expression of sophisticated street rod style! Tilt this Chevy's hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of proven Chevrolet crate engine that sounds almost as good as it runs! That proven engine leads a smooth 700R4 4-speed, which spins a factory Dropout axle. Brilliant red floors create a picturesque backdrop for a Satin Black rendition of GM's legendary X-frame chassis. That chassis gets pushed by a factory rear-clip that's finished with crisp QA-1 shocks. Opposite that clip, a factory front-half cages adjustable QA-1 coil-overs between tubular control arms. Turns come courtesy of close-ratio power steering. Speed gets scrubbed by a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors, which align colored-keyed The Right Stuff Detailing calipers with color-keyed Wilwood calipers. And all that hardware rolls on a sweet set of Intro blades, which spin 225/45ZR19 Lexani LX-Twentys in front of 275/40R20 Lexani LX-Twentys. Between the doors, a thoughtfully restored cockpit is built around virtual acres of chrome-piped vinyl that's pieced by stylish swatches of multi-color cloth. A streamlined dash props rebuilt factory telemetry next to a direct-fit radio and hardware for Vintage Air conditioning. And the driver spins a modern billet steering wheel around a tilting Ididit column and a modern Lokar shifter.
