1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Fuel-Injected L84, 4-Speed ManualThis 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by its original fuel-injected 327ci L84 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Originally sold at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet in Paramus, New Jersey, the car was refurbished in the early 2000s and has been maintained with care since. It is finished in Sebring Silver over black vinyl and comes equipped with both a removable hardtop and a replacement black convertible soft top.The engine and fuel injection system were rebuilt in 2002, and recent service includes new spark plug wires and an oil change in August 2023. Suspension components such as the front springs, bushings, shocks, ball joints, and wheel cylinders were replaced during the refurbishment.Features include flip-up headlights, 15" steel wheels with knock-off style hubcaps, Coker reproduction Firestone tires, and a dual exhaust system exiting through the rear valance. The interior is fitted with bucket seats, new carpets and door panels, lap belts, and an analog clock. The radio is currently inoperative, and the side arms of the convertible top do not sit flush when raised. Noted blemishes include paint chips on the hood, pitting on the quarter window trim, and wear on the windshield from the wipers.The sale includes an NCRS Shipping Data Report confirming its 1963 production date, service records, spare parts, and a clean New Jersey title. The inaugural year of the Sting Ray changed everything and sealed the fate of Corvette as America's Sportscar forever. The C2 required several years and the contribution of many brilliant minds to make the dream a sensational reality. When the shark-featured, Sting Ray coupe with its inimitable split windows debuted, few predicted the single-year design feature would become one of the most desirable models to ever grace the open roads. Offered for just one year, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette 'Split-Window' Coupe was under the watchful eye of just one family for 58 years. A South Carolina- and Georgia-based car for most of its life, Gene King acquired this split-window shortly after its debut in 1966. Originally born a 300-horsepower car, Mr. King had always dreamed of owning a 'Fuelie', so he spent countless hours searching for a Fuel Injected engine and proper components. He achieved his goal and successfully upgraded his corvette to a 'Fuelie' making an already rare split-window example even more desirable.    Having received just one repaint since new, the body of this split window has been incredibly well-maintained and preserved. It has been inspected by a Corvette expert, who confirmed this example to retain a no-hit body and was very impressed with its overall condition. It is also noted that this example retains its original carpet and interior, a testament to the overall care and love this Corvette has received throughout its life. When Mr. King passed, his son took ownership of this Corvette and loved its honest and patinated appearance and opted to do a mechanical restoration. This resulted in every single component being addressed, even going through the inner mechanical components. The fuel-injection unit was rebuilt and gone through by marque expert Jack Podell of Mishawaka, Indiana, to ensure it was in top order. Within the last year under current ownership, a new exhaust, brakes, and tires were installed. The 327-cubic-inch fuel-injected V-8 engine fires right up and is backed by a four-speed manual transmission, a dream combination for someone looking to further enjoy this split-window on the open road.     Under the care of just one family nearly its entire life, this highly desirable, one-year-only, well-preserved, mechanically sound '63 Split-Window Corvette will give its next owner the best both worlds, as it can be enjoyed on a daily basis or simply displayed and admired in a collection for its rarity and important place in sports car history.

The second-generation (C2) Chevrolet Corvette Stingray arrived transformed for the 1963 model year. This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in Ermine white over red vinyl and is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, 15â³ wheels with spinner-style covers, power-assisted steering, a teak wood-rimmed steering wheel, dual-outlet exhaust, a retractable power antenna, and a vertical Custom Autosound stereo.The body is said to have been refinished in Ermine white in 2007. Features include a black vinyl convertible top, concealed headlights, split chrome bumperettes, a driver-side mirror, cast rocker accents, fender vents, and chrome exhaust tips exiting through the rear valence.Black 15â³ steel wheels wear chrome-finished spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Dunlop Axiom Radial whitewall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners.The teak wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 700 of which have been added by the seller since 2007.
