Speedart Motorsports, is delighted to announce the offering of this exemplary Roadster and of what we believe to be, one of the finest specimens in captivity, guaranteed to please the most demanding collector and discriminating Benz connoisseur alike.

Chassis No. 95131 was completed at the Sindelfingen plant on the second week of March 2000 and safely expedited to its designated Mercedes-Benz Center of Millennium Automotive Group at the town of Bridgewater, New Jersey.

The automobile was finished in the dazzling Brilliant Silver metallic paint (744) over Ash Nappa leather and specified with the highly desirable Sport Package SL1 and SL2 at the time of ordering, consisting of the following options as per the factory build sheet:

After the final quality control and pre-delivery inspection at the Mercedes-Benz center, the SL 500 was sold to its new proud owner on June of 2000 and registered in the city of Howard Beach, NY which remained for the next 22 years. During this time of over two decades the motorcar accumulated just 1,090 miles and curated to the highest standards.

The Roadster was subsequently sold to a Miami private collector and marque enthusiast on June 2022, used sparingly by clocking a total of 574 careful miles. In the course of its last custodianship the automobile was always stored indoors and never exposed into inclement weather.

The Brilliant Silver livery still retains its first paint glaze and it is free of any blemishes or imperfections. The cabin is showroom fresh with all leather surfaces and walnut veneers presented in impossibly near-new condition.

All systems are functioning as the day it left the Sindelfingen assembly line with the canvas convertible top free of any creases or perforations, operating flawlessly. The engine bay and under-chassis are equally impressive, further attesting to the fastidious care the SL has received throughout its life.

A full set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport Plus tires 245/40 ZR 18 and 275/35 ZR 18 were installed not long ago with their entire tread almost intact.

The sale of the SL 500 is accompanied by the owner’s manuals, original laminated window sticker, service booklet, spare keys with alarm fob, radio instructions book & card, wheel torque specifications and service tags, tool roll kit, jack, first aid kit, hard top stand with cover, windscreen and all equipment as supplied by the manufacturer at the time of delivery. A non-derogatory CarFax report is also available upon request.
