This Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet was first registered on 04.09.1970 in Berlin.

It has among other things the following extras: Centre armrests in front, fog lamps, el. window lifter 4 times, el. aerial, radio Becker Grand Prix with separate cassette compartment.

Until 1984 the Mercedes was registered with the first owner.

From 1984 to 1992 the convertible was in Essen and from 1992 to 2010 in Berlin again.

Since 2010, the car has been back in Baden-Württemberg, with a collector.

Extensive restoration work was carried out about 15 years ago.

Among other things, the entire sheet metal was inspected and reworked where necessary. All seals were renewed and a cavity sealing as well as a repainting in the original colour was carried out afterwards.

In the interior, the seats were preserved in their original leather, the original wooden dashboard was overhauled and polished, and the carpets and door sill trims were renewed.

The mechanical components were also overhauled and replaced wherever necessary.

A value appraisal from 2014 certifies grade 2 with a replacement value of
€ 380.000,-

This beautiful 3.5 convertible with automatic transmission painted in its original colour was shipped to the USA in 1970

In January 1992 a family from San Diego sold it to a German owner.

That same year, the car was transported back to Germany and then ran for a good 20 years in Prien am Chiemsee until it passed to the current owner a few years ago.

In the course of extensive restoration work, the paint was renewed in its original color by the world-famous artist Walter Maurer in 2021.

Only about 1232 pieces of this model were produced.

In addition, the vehicle has 4 electric windows and a BEHR air conditioning system.
