If you are looking to buy a Lamborghini Huracan Performante for sale, you should know the price of a new Huracan is based on their scare supply. Demand is far outpacing the supply, so your best option might be a used Huracan Performante.

History can be a hindrance to innovation. We have to do it this way because that is how it has always been done. Lamborghini has built naturally aspirated supercars since the beginning. Other manufacturers are moving to smaller engines with turbochargers and using hybrid energy to supplement the drivetrain. Lamborghini knows its customers. That is why the big V10 and V12 engines are not going anywhere in the near future. In terms of performance, many publications made notions that not adapting to the hottest technologies was a fatal mistake.

Their remarks were countered with silence from Lambo headquarters in Sant'Agata. With variables like vehicle size and engine performance remaining fixed, for the most part, engineers decided to discard the common notions of aerodynamics.

Until recently spoilers have been fixed in place, or at least adjustable outside the car. Being able to cheat the wind has been a science only understood by only the best drivers in the world. Engineers knew how to modify the front and rear surfaces of a car to keep it glued to the pavement, but the computing power and software wasn't affordable until recently.

Rising to the challenge, the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante is the first production car to have a patented active aerodynamic system as standard equipment. It is known as ALA or Aero Lamborghini Activa. Solenoids under the core support are used to force air up over the radiator or under the belly pan. Outback is where it really gets interesting. Twin scoops behind the engine cover take high-pressure air from behind the cockpit and funnel it up into the hollow rear spoiler. It makes the Performante the first car that can eliminate the low-pressure area and turbulence created at high speeds.

Much in the same way a Semi truck gets better mileage with another car close behind, cutting the turbulence allows for more downforce and better acceleration in almost every circumstance. The Lamborghini Huracan Performante price is a bargain for the advances found in and on the car.

A high-performance rendition of the classic Lamborghini Huracan, the new Performance model raised the bar for supercars by setting a new production car record at the famous Nurburgring track. With a completion time of just 6 minutes, 52.1 seconds, this is an astonishing 35 seconds faster than the already impressive base Huracan model. To achieve this feat, designers took a 360-degree approach to upgrade the Huracan. The most notable changes include aerodynamic components, reduced weight, suspension improvements, and an upgraded engine. By losing 90 lbs of weight through the incorporation of carbon fiber, the supercar encounters less drag on the road and with the aid of titanium intake valves, the 5.2-liter V10 engine generates an increased horsepower of 640 with 600 lb-ft of torque versus the Huracan standard of 611 bhp and 560 lb-ft. A luxurious exterior features sharp angular curves with spoilers in the front and rear comprised of patented aerodynamic, Forged Composite material. Paired with lighter wheel rims and all-new Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires the Performante, as the name insinuates focuses purely on performance. With the capacity to reach top speeds of 202 MPH and a blister 0 to 60 speed of 2.9 seconds, the re-engineered supercar appears to be ready for the racetracks. Features like improved suspension, Alcantara upholstery, and four-wheel drive; however, indicate that the Huracan is ready for city streets and country roads just as much as the legendary Nurburgring track.
