Produced between 1964 and 1974, the 1964 Pontiac GTO can be considered the ideal muscle car. Without a convertible body, the new 2004 version boasted of a suitable rear-drive two-door coupe. The new model comes with a sleeper style. However, to maintain its status as a muscle car, the Pontiac GTO for sale is packing a lot of heat under the hood. Its basic personality and defiance earned it the nickname “The Goat.” Powered by a 6.0-liter V8 engine, the car achieves 400 horsepower and 400 lb-feet of torque. Its acceleration can hit 60 mph with 5.6 seconds which is quicker than any GTO model ever made. Pontiac GTO will humiliate almost any old Goat available. A four-speed programmed transmission is standard, and all GTOs accompany limited-slip rear end and traction control and four-wheel antilock disc brakes. A discretionary six-speed manual transmission adds to the fun, and with a completely free, execution tuned suspension and 17-inch wheels, this 3,700-pound Pontiac vehicle conveys a moderately flexible ride. The ideal price for a well-maintained model is around $15,000 to $20,000 with somewhere in the range of 25,000 to 85,000 miles on it. This way, the vehicle will not be a frequent visitor to the garage and will only need light maintenance.

Not at all like the first Pontiac GTO, the current model is no stripper. Instead, the leather-covered front seats are agreeable, and the general inside plan far outperforms that of the dead Pontiac Firebird as far as quality and usefulness. The solitary setbacks of note are those by and large endemic to a game roadster: tight admittance to the back seat, substantial entryways, and a little trunk.

The Pontiac GTO rides like an extravagant vehicle in the city and is not challenging to drive consistently. But, be that as it may, when driven more forcefully, the vehicle can feel awkward in light of its critical body roll and moderate and numb directing. Therefore, it is essential to keep the vehicle pointed straight and let the V8 do something amazing, which, usually, has been the mark of the GTO since the start.

Each of the Pontiac GTOs comes standard with four-wheel anti-lock plate brakes, foothold control, multistage front airbags, and a crisis mode that closes down the vehicle’s frameworks and opens the entryways case of an airbag arrangement. Side airbags are not accessible, nor is dependability control. Neither the IIHS nor the NHTSA has conducted crash tests on the GTO.

There is just a single motor accessible on the Pontiac GTO - a 6.0-liter V8 evaluated at 400 pull and 400 pound-feet of force. The standard transmission is a four-speed overdrive programmed, yet a six-speed, close-proportion manual transmission is accessible as a choice. Despite which transmission is chosen, all GTOs accompany a restricted slip differential and foothold control. As a result, GTO has excellent efficiency with 29-mpg on the highway and 17-mpg in the city.

Similarly, as with most present-day muscle vehicles, the GTO was sold as a four-seater. However, the secondary lounges are just pragmatic for kids or small grown-ups. It offers nine cubic feet of capacity, yet you should not consider this vehicle a functional everyday driver. As one would anticipate from a vehicle manufactured during the 2000s, the GTO needs numerous cutting edge conveniences, for example, driver assistance technology, navigation, Bluetooth, push-button start, and automated air conditioning.

The Pontiac GTO is something beyond a basic muscle vehicle. It is a top-notch sports vehicle. We don’t figure these vehicles will always stay as modest as parts become more earnestly discovered, and normally suctioned V8 vehicles with manual transmissions keep disappearing. The Pontiac bodywork is not just about as attractive as the abroad models; however, with some real effort, one can rebadge the GTO as a Holden, a Vauxhall, or even a Chevy and drive something significantly more one of a kind. Despite GM’s sopping production in 2010, you will find several GTO convertibles for sale and Pontiac GTO for sale in the market today. In addition, it is still possible for classic car and vintage enthusiasts to find the GTO Tribute and the 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge for sale.
