This 1996 BMW M3 Convertible is finished in a unique shade known as Lila Metallic that was custom ordered from the factory via BMW's Individual program. The original owner was a big fan of the color, having ordered two other BMWs - an E34 M5 and E31 850 CSi- in the extroverted shade. Under EAG's care, a hardtop was sourced and paint matched to the rest of the vehicle, and a few other panels were sprayed to ensure a show-quality finish throughout. This car was ordered with a desirable set of forged BMW Style-24 Motorsport wheels, which are wrapped in a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Knowing that the car was going to be enjoyed with the top down, the owner specified an interior to match the striking exterior. Although gray is the primary color, the seat centers front and rear, along with the primary section of the door cards are all finished in a color-matched fuchsia leather. The front seats are manually adjustable with heating as is the HVAC, while the top is power actuated. As a 1996 Euro car, this M3 is what is known as an Evolution - this means that instead of the 3.0-liter inline-6, displacement increased to 3.2 liters, while the transmission gained a gear, moving from 5 to 6 speeds. Being the legendary Euro-spec M3, this car's engine is fitted with 6 throttle bodies and is well known for being far more powerful than the US-spec variant. In Evolution form, the S50 produces 316 horsepower at 7,400 RPM and 258 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 RPM. 0-60 mph happens in less than 5.5 seconds and the top speed is nearly 160 mph flat out. The E36 M3 has earned its place as a bonafide classic, and the European variants are particularly special. If you want an M3 that absolutely nobody else has and will be the star of any BMW gathering, this car is impossible to beat. With its stunning Lila Metallic paint and matching interior finish, this M3 is likely a one-of-one and is presented in outstanding overall condition.

This Euro-spec 1995 BMW M3 Evolution is a late build (11/95) and finished in Techno Violet that shows 111,828 km (69,486 miles) from new. Although 1995 was the first year for the E36 in the United States, in September of that year, it underwent a Life Cycle Injection, becoming the E36 M3 Evolution. From the exterior, there arenÃ¢â¬â¢t many alterations between a pre or post Evolution car, but under the skin, quite a bit changed. Showing in remarkable condition throughout, the car sits on a set of DS2 wheels wrapped in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. As a Euro car, this was factory fitted with glass headlight lenses and clear corners in the front that make for a beautiful, clean design and seen as a desirable upgrade on US-spec cars. Ã¢â¬ÂOn the interior, the Vader seats are wrapped in black leather as isi the four spoke steering wheel with M-color stitching. Owing to that aforementioned time capsule-like quality, basically nothing on the interior has been changed from stock, retaining the original BMW AM/FM Cassette deck. This car was ordered with heated seats up front, and the desirable, simple manual climate control sits above the on-board computer in the center-stack. Ã¢â¬ÂWhere the Evolution variant really makes a difference is under the hood. Originally powered by a 3.0-liter inline-6, the EvoÃ¢â¬â¢s displacement was bumped up to 3.2. With the Euro motor, this engine also had the individual throttle bodies that were so famously missing on the US-spec cars. What this meant for power was a remarkable 316 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque - an incredible 76 more horsepower than the US car. Also, the Evolution gained a 6th gear in the transmission for the first time in M3 history. Aside from some of the ultra-rare variants that BMW made, this is the ultimate way to enjoy an E36 M3. Ã¢â¬ÂAlthough there were significantly more E36 M3s produced than its older E30 stablemate, it seems to be far more difficult to source high-quality examples of the younger car. When simply a good example wonÃ¢â¬â¢t do and you also want the highest performing Euro variant in an interesting color, your buying pool shrinks dramatically. This car checks all of those boxes and would be a stunning addition to any collection.
