The new McLaren 720S for sale is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. With a dry weight of just 2,828 lbs, the 720S will rocket from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and 0-124 mph in 7.8 seconds. Top speed is a whopping 212 mph.

Starting with a solid foundation, the Monocage II is a one-piece carbon-fiber monocoque. It is an evolution of the P1 design with extensions over the engine, and it incorporates a more conventional door sill. The doors include much of the roof, leaving only a central spine connecting the rear body to the windshield. Additionally, McLaren uses aluminum sub-frames in the chassis and some body panels for weight reduction and crash protection.
