This stunning AA Yellow 1995 Defender 90 NAS (North American Specification) has been subjected to a fastidious restoration and is reflecting less than 650 miles since completion.   Come take this beauty for a test drive today! Land Rover supplied the Defender 90 NAS to North America for just three years, (1994, 1995 and 1997) in very low volumes.  This example is number 2,413 produced and is powered by the venerable 3.9L naturally aspirated V8 engine sourced from the Rover Group and paired it with the 5-speed R-380 manual transmission.  Initially, the Defender 90 was only available as a soft-top with a structural roll cage, but a later version was offered with a unique, removable, fiber-glass roof...this example is one which was supplied with this removable hardtop roof, (whilst still retaining the structural roll cage).This stunning example underwent a complete and professional restoration prior to our purchase in early-2021 to a very high level of attention to detail throughout. Almost everything has been replaced or refinished, including new paint and a new drive train, which includes a 3.9-liter 8-cylinder replacement factory engine, rebuilt original heads, new 5-speed manual transmission and a new transfer case. The radiator has been re-cored with an air conditioning system overhaul, including new hoses, compressor, condenser and blower. Custom thermal wrap covers the new intake hose and thermal sleeves cover the spark plugs. The new suspension includes 2-inch Terrafirma shocks, springs, steering stabilizer, BFGoodrich AT tires and new steel braided brake lines. The under body has been sprayed, headers and exhaust system have been painted, and the differentials, suspension and brake components refinished. The engine compartment has been customized with premium loom covering all wires and hoses, hood insulation pad and a custom polished radiator overflow reservoir. The interior has been redone to present as new and includes Dynamat insulation, new Exmoor Trim carpeting and mats, Land Rover rubber floor mats, Rovers North door panels and new shift boots. All gauges, knobs, steering column switches, rearview mirror, various pieces of dash (dash top, lower dash finishing trim) have also been replaced with new components and the dash recess was repainted. The original cubby was replaced with a larger, lockable metal cubby. The exterior features many custom details. Flat black textured paint has been applied to the roll bar, brush bar, running boards, fender flares, metal plate body protection, headlight surrounds and LED running light/turn signal bases. The headlights have been replaced with premium LED units, and all door hinges have been painted flat black to match the trim. The windshield and door seals are new as well.Galpin Land Rover has continued all maintenance whilst being a show car in our new showroom.PLEASE NOTE  Due to the odometer being replaced during the restoration process, this vehicle is being offered for sale with True Mileage Unknown.

*1995 Land Rover Defender 90*Â Although these days, Land Rover is known for building luxurious, off road capable vehicles, that hasnât always been the case. The off road aspect has always been a key feature of the brand, but for the first decades, luxury took a back seat to practicality and dependability. The Defender which debuted in 1984, was really a refined version of the âSeriesâ trucks that the brand had built its name on since 1948. With some additional luxuries, the Defender was just as at home navigating a dirt track on the farm, as it was taking the family out to dinner in town.Â This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 wagon is an original left hand drive European market example with a hard top. Finished in Graphite Blue with a white roof, this car underwent a thorough sorting by marque experts Brooklyn Coachworks in Brooklyn New York in the Summer of 2021, where it was acquired by the owner. Where most Defender upfitters add a suspension lift and enormous tires, Brooklyn Coachworks focuses instead on refining a standard Defender â making it more dependable and enjoyable, while still offering some level of customization. The process includes hot-dip galvanizing the chassis, using zinc coatings on the undercarriage, swapping the doors for stronger Land Rover Puma TD4 units and replacing all of the seals around the vehicle. The color of the body, roof and wheels are all customer selected and this car sits on a set of color-matched 15-inch Wolf steel wheels, which are wrapped in BFGoodrich T/A KM3 tires with a matching spare on the rear door.Â The interior has been upgraded with black leather wrapped seats â with both the front two bucket seats, and both rear inward facing benches â finished in black leather with quilted stitching. The dashboard remains standard, just leather wrapped and the original steering wheel is still in place, framing the simple white-on-black gauge cluster. A Kenwood head unit has been fitted with Bluetooth connectivity as well as dual auxiliary USB connections to keep your devices charged.Â Powering this Land Rover is one of the most sought after engines to come in the Defender from the factory - the 300TDi turbo diesel inline 4. This engine became notorious in period for its stout build quality and stump pulling power and was one of the first diesels from Land Rover that is easily able to cruise with modern traffic. Power is then sent through a 5-speed manual gearbox to all four wheels with a locking center differential. To ensure the car is easy to drive in town, power disc brakes and power steering are fitted. Recently, the car was sent to Defenders NW in Gig Harbor who completed a thorough servicing that included a new fuel injection pump, new belts and a new timing cover gasket to guarantee this truck runs at its best for years to come.Â With the ever increasing popularity of classic off-road vehicles, the Defender sits atop the rest as one of the most capable and iconic vehicles ever built in the segment. This example retains that classic ethos, but with a host of modern upgrades, is much more pleasant to own and drive around town.
