1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Litre Roadster Matching Numbers  Recently discovered in long-term, single family ownership, this matching number XK150 S is presented in as-found condition and is the ideal candidate for a complete, ground-up restoration. Displaying 44,660 miles on the odometer, this unrestored Jaguar retains its original, matching-numbers engine, chassis, and body per the JDHT certificate on file. Just out of long-term storage and not currently running. It will require mechanical attention prior to road use.  Launched in 1958, the XK150 S represents the ultimate development of Jaguars legendary line of XK sports cars. In its original 3.4-litre form, the S model yielded significant performance dividends, with three SU carburetors, straight-port intake manifolds, and upgraded camshafts contributing 60 hp over the standard XK150. Equipped with Le Mans-proven Dunlop disc brakes, these Jaguars were among the fastest and most comfortable GT cars of the late 1950s. The most sporting version was the Roadster, of which only 888 were built. According to the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this XK150 S Roadster was completed on April 23, 1959, finished in the striking color scheme of Black with Red leather upholstery and a Sand soft top. Originally ordered through Jaguar Cars of New York, the Jaguars first owner collected it in Coventry in June 1959, where it was issued registration no. UKV 426. One Owner 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster with Extraordinary Documentation Signed By William LyonsThis 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster comes with fabulous documentation signed by William Lyons and is an incredibly undisturbed one owner car from new. Black with cognac leather and retaining its matching numbers engine block. Shortly after the original owner purchased the car, the motor dropped a valve so he wrote a letter to Jaguar UK regarding the issue. He eventually received a response from co-founder of Jaguar Cars William Lyons directly. Mr. Lyons agreed to to ship the new cylinder head along with several accompanying engine parts at no charge. Therefore, the engine head was changed out and documented with a letter signed by William Lyons himself. Offered with a binder full of the original correspondence on actual Jaguar factory letterhead. 1959 Jaguar XK150S Drophead Coupe with Matching NumbersThis rare 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Litre Drophead Coupe is a remarkable survivor that retains its original matching numbers engine and has been under the same ownership since 1966. Throughout this incredible 57-year ownership, the Jaguar was treated as a member of the family and diligently maintained. While used regularly for a number of years, including a trip to the East Coast, written notes on file show that in 1988 its odometer read 56,200 miles, just shy of the 56,411 the odometer currently shows. The Jaguar shows a patina from its careful use and retains many original finishes, including the vast majority of its original paint. Offered with its Heritage Certificate and tool kit. After years of static storage, it will require mechanical attention prior to road use.
