The 212 Export had an 88-inch wheelbase chassis
 
Displayed at the Paris Salon in October 1951 as part of the Ferrari display
 
Sold to Irish racer Robert Baird following the Paris Salon
 
Baird immediately entered it in the Tourist Trophy race at Dundrod, finishing 6th overall in the 3.0L class
Baird campaigned it in the British Isles for the following two years before selling it to a South American owner
0136E appeared in the Grand Prix of Rio de Janeiro in 1954 and the 1000kms of Buenos Aires in January 1956
 
Several years later, it was discovered in Uruguay by a British Ferrari enthusiast and shipped to Leicester, England
 
Around 1976, it was restored by Donald Nelson of Leicester and fitted with a 250 GT engine and 275 MM-style hood
 
Under Nelson’s ownership, 0136E appeared at Christie’s International Historic festival at Silverstone and the International Ferrari Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California
 
Jack and Kingsley Croul purchased 0136E in 1999
In 1999, the Crouls drove 0136E in the Italia Classica rally
 
The following year, the Crouls drove the 212 Export in the Mille Autunno
 
Comprehensively restored by the renowned Wayne Obry of Motion Products Inc. in Wisconsin in 2012-2013
 
During Obry’s restoration, 0136E was reunited with its original Colombo engine and the hood scoop was returned to its original configuration
 
In May 2013, 0136E was invited to the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como in Cernobbio, Italy
 
In August 2013, the Ferrari was invited to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where it won First Prize in Class M-2
 
In January 2014, 0136E was awarded Platino at the 2014 Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, Florida
