The real joy of a good mid-engined car is in its handling and braking and the Dino shone as we expected it to. The steering is quick without being super quick, and it transmits by what seems a carefully planned amount of feedback exactly what is going on at the tires. Applying experience from its successful Dino 206S sports-racer of 1966, Ferrari retained the racer's mid-engine layout for a new road car aimed squarely at Porsche's successful 911. Enzo Ferrari always intended the Dino to be a separate sub-brand, and Ferrari badging was never officially used. The striking Pininfarina-styled Dino  honoring Enzo's late son Alfredino, a champion of the V6 engine  was powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cam V6 driving via an in-unit five-speed transaxle. The engine's 180 brake horsepower was enough to propel the lightweight, aerodynamically efficient Dino to 142 mph, and while there were few complaints about the car's performance, the high cost of its aluminum coachwork hindered sales.

A new 2.4-litre version on a longer wheelbase  the 246 GT  arrived in late 1969. The Scaglietti-built body was now in steel, and the cylinder block cast-iron rather than aluminum, but the bigger engine's increased power - 195bhp at 7,600rpm - adequately compensated for the weight gain. The open-air GTS version, with a removable 'targa' top followed in 1972. 

The Dino 246 was built in three series: 'L', 'M' and 'E', these designations reflecting detail changes in the specification. Of the three, the M-series is by far the rarest, built during the early months of 1971 only. Changes from the preceding L-series included a 30mm increase in rear track, five-bolt fixing for the road wheels, internal boot release, seat-mounted headrests, and various minor improvements to the engine and gearbox. The final 'E' series incorporated all the changes made to its predecessors together with further improvements to the engine and gearbox, resulting in the best-sorted and most user-friendly of the three variants.

While not quite as fast in a straight line as its larger V12-engined brethren, the nimble Dino could show a clean pair of heels to just about any contemporary once the tarmac got twisty. Truly a driver's car par excellence the Dino 246 is still highly regarded and beloved today.

This lovely E-series Dino 246 GTS is chassis number 07884, completed on the 25th of March, 1974. Built to USA specifications, it is reported by marque historian Matthias Bartz to be one of just 29 finished in Celeste Metallizzato which is paired quite strikingly with Blu Connolly Vaumol &#40;VM3282&#41; leather upholstery. Initially imported by Luigi Chinetti, it was sold by Swing Motors of Maryland, and the ownership chain is well documented in the accompanying Dino Compendium Report, following the car from Pennsylvania, to New York, and New Jersey between 1974-1989. In 1989, it was sold by official Ferrari dealer Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley, New York, to Mr. Frank Fischer of Wohlen, Switzerland, a noted Ferrari collector who retained it for 13 years. In 2002, the most recent owners acquired it, keeping it in his care for over two decades. 

An accompanying history report compiled by the owner notes that upon the most recent owner's acquisition, the car was enjoyed throughout Europe for a number of years, before it was sent to Sweden for a more extensive refurbishment.  

Changed to the ubiquitous red over black during prior American ownership, the owners decided to return it to its stunning and rare original shade of Celeste Metallizzato, obtaining the correct color codes and paint formula with Ferrari Classiche's assistance. A Swedish specialist performed a bare-metal respray, removing the unsightly USA-spec side-marker lamps in the process. The same specialist sourced new blue Connolly leather from Maranello, restoring the interior to as-delivered condition with new seat foam. Additionally, the numbers-matching V6 engine was pulled and reportedly underwent an extensive overhaul, and the MPH speedometer was replaced with a KM unit. The original MPH unit is included in the sale. 
With its restoration and service work completed and the car returned to its original splendor, the owner repatriated it to Switzerland and obtained veteran registration in 2023. In addition to the aforementioned historical documents, it is accompanied by owner's manuals in a leather pouch. 
Presented in rare and superb colors, this desirable open-air Dino 246 GTS is now ready for its next chapter of cherished ownership.

First registered in June 1965, this Corvette Stingray arrived in Switzerland circa 2000 when it was offered for sale by the well known American-car dealer, Neufeld's Special Cars in Zurich. A Mr De Siebenthal, well known restorer in Switzerland, purchased the car from them in 2008. Although it was in good condition, Mr de Siebenthal embarked on a project to make the car absolutely concours and period correct. The car was completely dismantled, the chassis stripped and the every last little detail taken care of. The restoration took many years to complete. Knowing Mr de Siebenthal very well, our vendor had often seen the car and always tried to buy it from him. Mr de Siebenthal finally agreed to sell the Stingray to our vendor in 2015. Since then the car has been routinely serviced and driven sparingly. Mr de Siebenthal was tasked to continue maintaining the Stingray and it is ready for the next owner to enjoy. Accompanying documentation consists of an old Swiss Carte Grise and a history file containing Neufeld's Special Cars' original invoice from 2008.

When Ferrari's highly successful '250' series was superseded in 1964 by the '275', Pininfarina was once again called upon to work his magic for the Maranello concern, creating a true classic of sports car design for the 275 GTB. Penetrative nose, long bonnet, purposeful side vents, high waistline and short be-spoilered tail: these were all ingredients of the recipe, yet the result was so much more than merely the sum of its parts. The tail spoiler and cast-alloy wheels echoed developments first seen on Ferrari competition cars, while beneath the skin there was further evidence of racing improving the breed, the independent rear suspension - seen for the first time on a road-going Ferrari - employing a double wishbone and coil-spring arrangement similar to that of the 250LM racer. The adoption of a rear-mounted five-speed transaxle combining the gearbox and differential in a single unit helped improve weight distribution, and this feature would characterise future generations of front-engined Ferrari road cars. 

Now enlarged to 3.3 litres, the 60-degree V12 engine remained the familiar Colombo type, in standard form producing 280bhp at 7,600rpm. A higher - 300bhp - state of tune employing six Weber carburettors was available, and this was used for the handful of aluminium-alloy bodied 275GTB/C &#40;Competizione&#41; models built, though customers purchasing a 275 GTB for road use could also specify aluminium coachwork and/or the six-carburettor engine

Despite its near-perfect appearance, revisions to the original 275 GTB were not long in coming: a longer nose, enlarged rear window and external boot hinges being introduced towards the end of 1965. Mechanically the only major change was the adoption of torque tube enclosure for the prop shaft. The model's ultimate incarnation - the 275 GTB/4 - appeared in 1966, the '/4' suffix denoting the presence of four, rather than the original's two, overhead camshafts. 

By the mid-1960s there were manufacturers aplenty producing sports cars with twin-overhead-camshaft engines: Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Maserati to name but four. Ferrari, on the other hand, seemed content to soldier on with its single-overhead-cam V12 engine, confident that providing more cylinders than any of its rivals would be sufficient to keep the opposition at bay. So the arrival of upstart Lamborghini with its Bizzarrini-designed four-cam V12 must have caused something of a stir at Maranello. Ferrari's response - the 275 GTB/4 - first appeared at the Paris Salon in October 1966. Apart from an identifying bonnet bulge the new car was virtually identical to the existing 'long nose' 275 GTB, but beneath that altered bonnet its 3.3-litre V12 now sported four overhead camshafts. The method of valve actuation too had changed - the roller-ended rocker arms of the two-cam engine being replaced by simpler inverted bucket tappets - as had the included angle between the inlet and exhaust valves - down from 57 to 54 degrees for a more compact combustion chamber. On the induction side, a sextet of twin-choke Weber 40 DCN carburettors - optional on the two-cam 275 GTB - was standard equipment on the '/4', while the adoption of a dry-sump lubrication system fed by a 16-litre oil tank added a few extra horsepower to the total. Now 300bhp at 8,000rpm, the latter represented a 20bhp improvement on the two-cam engine's figure, while maximum torque increased from 217 to 240lb/ft at 6,000rpm. As well as the expected improvement in performance - top speed was now in the region of 165mph, 10mph better than before - the revised engine brought with it other benefits. According to Road & Track magazine, "the most surprising thing about this new engine is that the emphasis in its design was upon improved torque throughout the speed range and smoother, quieter running. Here's an engine that idles at 800rpm, smoothly and quietly, and has a useful on-the-road rev range of 1,500-8,000rpm. It can be lugged from 2,000rpm in fifth with a remarkable head of steam".

Sadly, by 1968 the progress of automobile emissions legislation had effectively outlawed the 275 GTB and its like from Ferrari's most lucrative export market, the USA, and the model was phased out later that same year. 

Ferrari 275 GTB/4, chassis number '09603', was completed as a berlinetta &#40;fixed-head coupé&#41; in April 1967 and sold new to Motor S.a.s. in Rome, Italy finished in Amaranto with beige leather interior. Its first owner was the long-time Ferrari customer and 'gentleman racer', Dr Augusto Caraceni, who competed in the Mille Miglia on two occasions &#40;1951 and 1952&#41;. Augusto Caraceni was the son of Domenico Caraceni, founder of the eponymous Rome-based tailoring business whose clientele included Humphrey Bogart and Aristotle Onassis.

The car was serviced by the Ferrari Factory Assistenza Clienti in 1967 and 1968 before being exported to the USA soon afterwards. The accompanying Massini Report lists various owners in the USA and more than one change of colour scheme. In February 1979 '09603' was converted to NART Spider configuration by Straman Auto Restoration of Costa Mesa, California. The Ferrari remained in the USA until European Auto Sales of Costa Mesa, California sold it to well-respected  collector Yoshio Matsuda in Japan in 1987. In 1996 the then Japanese owner sold the Ferrari to the Symbolic Motor Car Co of La Jolla, California, from whom it was purchased in May of that year by the current vendor, a well-known Swiss private collector, who has been its custodian for nearly 30 years &#40;bill of sale present&#41;. 

Some seven years later the owner commissioned Ferrari to undertake a complete, no-expense-spared restoration of the car, including returning it to the original berlinetta specification. The body was restored by Ferrari themselves at a cost of around 180,000, while the mechanical rebuild was  completed by Autofficina Bonini Carlo Srl, an officially authorised Ferrari service agent, at a cost of more than 120,000. Detailed invoices for these works are on file &#40;inspection highly recommended&#41;. The restoration took some three years to complete and the all-important Ferrari Classiche certification was duly obtained in June 2017. Presented in pristine condition, this quite exceptional 275 GTB/4 represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a fully restored example of what many regard as the finest road-going Gran Turismo ever produced by Ferrari.

First seen in 1966, the Targa represented an ingenious approach to the concept of a soft-top 911. Its design resulting from expected US safety legislation, the Targa sported a hefty roll-over bar to protect the occupants in the event of an inversion, plus removable roof and rear hood sections stowable in the boot. By 1969 a quieter and less leak-prone fixed glass rear window had replaced the soft rear hood, and the ever-popular Targa would continue in this form into the 1990s.

Its accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity reveals that this matching-numbers 911T Targa was originally finished in Blue Metallic with Houndstooth Check fabric interior and delivered with the following options: electric, heated, tinted glass windscreen; five-speed gearbox; comfort equipment; and special paint. This car also has the desirable Fuchs wheels. The aforementioned certificate was issued in 1993 by Porsche Cars North America Inc, to whom the 911 was delivered new; subsequently it was shipped to Germany and finally to Switzerland. Professionally restored in Europe in 2017, the Targa comes with related invoices detailing the works carried out and parts purchased &#40;inspection recommended&#41;. Described by the vendor as in generally good condition throughout, the car also comes with its service booklet, a Swiss Carte Grise, and the aforementioned Certificate of Authenticity.

Sporting elegant coachwork designed and built by Pininfarina, the original 1.3-litre Giulietta Spider of 1955 was a huge success and continued virtually unchanged in 1.6-litre Giulia guise when the latter was introduced in 1962. The Giulia was the work of a design team headed by one of Italy's greatest automobile engineers, Dr Orazio Satta Puliga, the man responsible for all the post-war Alfa Romeos. Described by Cars Illustrated as "probably one of the most delightful small sports cars which will ever be produced," the Giulia Spider is certainly one of the most attractive Alfa Romeos of its day and remains highly regarded now. 

Its accompanying Certificato di Origine issued by Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo reveals that this Giulia Spider was completed in July 1962 and delivered new to Lugano, Switzerland finished in rosso with nero interior. The engine currently fitted is a replacement, though of the correct type. According to our vendor the car appears to have been restored and is presented in generally good condition in every respect, including the hood. Accompanying documentation consists of a FIVA Identity Card, a Swiss Carte Grise, and the aforementioned Alfa Romeo certificate.

"Like all classic GT cars, it combines enormous speed with comfort and the more you put into your driving, the more the car returns for your entertainment. And the DB5 really is entertaining to anyone who can exploit its outstanding performance, handling and brakes. It will also carry four people &#40;just&#41; and a fair amount of luggage so the merits of family transport &#40;if need be&#41; have not been entirely sacrificed to speed and elegant looks."  Motor magazine. 

Introduced in July 1963, the Aston Martin DB5 represented a further evolution of the preceding DB4 series rather than the beginning of an entirely new model line. The major change was the adoption of a 4.0-litre version of the &#40;previously&#41; 3.7-litre six-cylinder engine, this enlarged unit having been seen first in the Lagonda Rapide of 1961. Equipped with three SU carburettors, the '400' engine produced 282bhp at 5,500rpm and was mated to a four-speed/overdrive gearbox, a 'proper' ZF five-speed unit being standardised later. 

The DB5's distinctive cowled headlamps had first appeared on the DB4GT, and the newcomer was the same size as the lengthened, 'Series V' DB4. Outwardly there was little to distinguish the DB5 from the last of the DB4s apart from twin fuel filler caps, though these had already appeared on some cars. Beneath the skin however, there were numerous improvements including alternator electrics, Girling disc brakes instead of Dunlops, Sundym glass, electric windows and an oil pressure gauge as standard equipment. 

From September 1964 the 314bhp, triple-Weber Vantage engine became available and was fitted to a total of 95 cars. The DB5 was also offered in convertible form &#40;the 'Volante' name would not be applied to the soft-top Aston until the DB6's arrival&#41; while independent coachbuilder Harold Radford offered a shooting brake conversion. 1,021 DB5s were manufactured between July 1963 and September 1965, a total that included 123 convertibles and 12 shooting brakes. 

In 1964 a silver Aston Martin DB5 featured in the film Goldfinger, starring Sean Connery as secret agent James Bond, otherwise known as '007'. Since then the DB5 has became synonymous with the James Bond franchise, appearing in a further seven movies: Thunderball, Golden Eye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die.

Finished in the elegant colour combination of silver with dark red leather interior, this right-hand drive DB5 is recorded in the AMOC Register &#40;2000&#41; as belonging to one G G Edington and registered in the UK as 'CRG 510C'. Partially restored in 2013, the Aston comes with a comprehensive history file containing extensive invoices, technical inspections, technical expertise reports, photographs of previous owners, and a BMIHT Certificate &#40;the invoices and receipts are arranged in chronological order&#41;. A tool kit is included in the sale.

This Mercury's history can be traced back to 1999 when it was owned by a Mr Marietta in Texas. Mr Marietta sold the car to a Mr Vickers in Ontario, Canada, who kept it until 2016 when he sold it our vendor. Since then the car has benefited from much care and various improvements: drum brakes converted to discs; sanding and repainting of the entire under-chassis; and regular servicing to keep it permanently drivable. 

Accompanying documentation includes a &#40;copy&#41; Texas Certificate of Title; Swiss customs duties proof of payment; and a substantial quantity of invoices for parts and work. The car also comes with an expertise carried out by Mercury expert Ed Thornton in November 2007 for the aforementioned Canadian owner.

This Porsche 911 Carrera was delivered new on 6th May 1977 to Mr Charles Bossert in Echichens in the Vaud Canton in Switzerland by Amag Lausanne. The car has never left the Canton de Vaud in its life and has always worn the famous VD Plates as can be seen in the original service book that comes with the car. In 2006, the Porsche was sold to a Mr Borie in Lausanne, since when it has been very well cared  for by Garage O Haberthur in Saint Sulpice, as evidenced by the large file of invoices totaling more than CHF25,000 accumulated during Mr Borie's ownership. Since its sale to the current vendor the car has been maintained by well known specialist Mr De Siebenthal in Aclens, there being associated invoice on file totaling almost CHF10,000. The car also comes with the aforementioned original service book; original AMAG delivery booklet with the name of the first owner; a substantial quantity of invoices; and its old Swiss Carte Grise.

Production of Aston Martin's Vanquish ended with the Newport Pagnell factory's closure, and this Vanquish S is one of the last completed, manufactured on 31st January 2007. As well as being a very late car, it went to Aston Martin Works to have the troublesome automatic gearbox replaced with their six-speed manual transmission, making it immeasurably more desirable as a result. 

The Vanquish was delivered via Aston Martin Munich on 12th February 2007, subsequently spending time in Belgium before  being exported to Switzerland in 2017. Finished in Onyx Black with Obsidian Black primary and secondary leathers, black stitching and black Alcantara quilted headliner and seat inserts, it oozes understated menace and purpose. 

Our vendor purchased the Vanquish in 2020 and has barely driven the car since.  Nevertheless it has been carefully stored and serviced every year, the most recently in May 2025. Accompanying documentation includes its Swiss Carte Grise; old Luxembourg registration papers; Certificate of Conformity; Certificate of Origin; and the original service book &#40;up to date&#41;.

In the noble line of V12 cabriolets, in 2005 the 575 M Superamerica followed in the footsteps of the 550 Maranello Barchetta of 2001. With its prestigious name borrowed from history, it innovated as the first Ferrari coupé-cabriolet. Announced at 199 mph, the 575 M Superamerica established itself as the fastest cabriolet in the world at the time!

Let us not forget that the Ferrari Superamericas of the 1960s were at the top of the automotive hierarchy, to an even greater extent than the "standard" range that filled the public with such wonder. Superamericas still offered the legendary V12 plus improved finishes. Not to mention that these Pininfarina bodies were always refined and were sold to world leaders. This would again be the case for the 575 M Superamerica.

To better understand the 575 M Superamerica we have to go back to 1996. The 550 Maranello once again offered a front-engined V12 at the top of the Ferrari range. It marked a strong return for a form of less ostentatious grand touring. The 550 Maranello can reasonably be compared to the purity of 365 GTB/4 and 275 GTB. In the marque's long tradition of GTs, we find a classic muscled profile sublimated by large, powerful haunches.

Launched in November 2002, the 575 M, for Modificato, modified, was the final, optimised version of the 550 Maranello. Among other improvements, its V12 offered 515 horsepower thanks to an increased engine capacity and the choice of a revolutionary F1 gearbox.
Presented at the end of 2004, the 575 Superamerica gave into the trend for coupé cabriolets with panache. Unlike the 550 Barchetta and its soft top, an intriguing pivoting roof system was used, which did not alter the car's profile at all. This roof system was patented by Leonardo Fioravanti, who is none other than the designer of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona! Under the bonnet is a 5.75 litre V12 that reuses the configuration of the 612 Scaglietti, meaning 540 hp, an increase of 25 hp. The fastest cabriolet in the world crushes 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Furthermore, it has all the features of a large GT, with its driveability as disconcerting as it is exhilarating.

Delivered new on 3 August 2005 in Switzerland, this 575 Superamerica, endowed with the optional F1 gearbox, bears the iconic Rosso Ferrari livery, combined with a Tan Daytona leather interior with a black upper dashboard. The steering wheel is two-tone Tan and black. With only 13,800 km from new, the car is still registered in Switzerland and has been in the hands of its previous owner for 11 years. It is accompanied by its documentation and a Swiss registration document.

Please note that the hydraulic system of the roof has a fault and will need to be checked. The roof however appears in very good condition.

In the mid-1960s, US automakers engaged in a fierce battle on the drag strips of America. The National Hot Rod Association's &#40;NHRA&#41; Super Stock and FX classes attracted feverish fans and equally feverish manufacturer support. Ford's Galaxie 500 lightweights struggled against the lighter MoPar cars, so in 1963, dealer team Tasca Ford of Rhode Island took a new approach, pairing a smaller, lighter '63 Fairlane 500 with the Galaxie's 427 stuffed between the fenders. It was an instant success in the hands of factory driver Bill Humphrey, and Ford homologated the newly named "Thunderbolt" for Super Stock, producing 100 customer cars in 1964.

The car offered here is a tribute to that original Thunderbolt prototype raced by Bill Humphrey. Based correctly on a 1963 Fairlane 500 Hardtop &#40;production Thunderbolts were all 1964&#41;  it is a fitting tribute to the long-lost original. Finished in white and adorned with period-style Tasca Ford B/FX graphics, it sits purposefully on black steel wheels with ram-air intake screens in the grille and a fiberglass Thunderbolt-style hood. Great period touches include a Moon Eyes tachometer, Auto Gauge auxiliary dials, and period window decals. The vendor reports a 351ci Windsor V8 built by VanGordon Performance sits under the hood, featuring a ram-air intake, Holley carburetor, stainless tubular headers, 4-row alloy radiator, and MSD electronic ignition. Evocatively detailed and exciting to drive, this unique Fairlane 500 is the ideal pick for nostalgia drags or cruising your local boulevard.

The Spijker company started out as coachbuilders in Amsterdam before constructing its first automobile in 1898. Spijker was technologically adventurous, introducing the first six-cylinder car with four-wheel drive and all-round brakes in 1903, by which time the name had changed to the more internationally acceptable 'Spyker'. Faced with a downturn in demand for its large luxury cars the firm merged with the Dutch aircraft manufacturer, N.V. and in 1915 adopted the Latin moto 'Nulla tenaci invia est via' &#40;'For the tenacious no road is impassable'&#41;. A horizontal, two-bladed propeller was chosen as the company emblem and both it and the motto were used by the modern-day Spyker company. 

Despite a reputation for quality and the achievement of some notable competition successes, the original Spyker company disappeared in 1925. Its name and reputation for producing well-engineered, high-performance motor cars had not been forgotten though, and an entirely new Spyker possessing the same goals emerged in 1999. Founded by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn, the reconstituted company was set up to manufacture exclusive sports cars commencing with the Spyker C8, which debuted at the Birmingham International Motor Show in October 2000.  

An advanced, mid-engined, two-seat barchetta, the C8 was powered by a 4.2-litre Audi V8 engine producing approximately 400bhp and had a top speed of around 300km/h &#40;186mph&#41;. The C8's ultra-stiff spaceframe chassis was constructed using a combination of aluminium sheet and extrusions, while the aluminium body panels were supplied by Coventry Prototype Panels in the UK and Karmann in Germany. Variations on the theme were not long in coming: in February 2001 the C8 Laviolette coupé appeared at the Amsterdam Motor Show to be followed by the more powerful twin-turbocharged C8 Spyder T. 

Despite its 'new kid on the block' status, Spyker succeeded in establishing a strong presence in the supercar market. Indeed, the C8 won instant acclaim, receiving the Institute of Vehicle Engineers Design Award soon after its introduction. In 2002 the first competition version, the C8 Double12R endurance racer, was entered by the Spyker Squadron factory racing team at Le Mans. On 14th July 2005, it was announced that the C8 was approved for sale on the United States market.

First registered on 3rd October 2014 and finished in white with brown/camel quilted leather interior, this stunning Spyker C8 Spyder has covered fewer than 3,500 kilometres from new. The car was last fully serviced on 2nd December 2022, while in February 2024 the fuel system was overhauled and the headlamps replaced by Rebellion Motors at a cost of CHF14,000 &#40;detailed invoices available&#41;.

Described by the vendor as 'like new' in every respect, this ultra exclusive and extremely desirable Dutch supercar is approved and registered for road use in Switzerland and comes complete with all of its original equipment.

Hailed by Autocar as "The most single-minded hypercar ever to turn a wheel," Aston Martin's outrageous Valkyrie was first seen in prototype form in 2017. Code named 'Nebula', the Valkyrie project had first surfaced in 2016 as the AM-RB 001 concept car, its nomenclature reflecting the collaboration of Aston Martin with Formula 1's Red Bull Racing. 'Nebula' was an acronym of the key players: multiple F1 World Championship-winning designer Adrian Newey, Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin Lagonda. The aim was to create a track-orientated car that nevertheless would be usable on public roads. It would be November 2021 before the first of the 150 production models planned left the factory, this lengthy gestation testifying to the project's considerable complexity. 

Featuring Aston Martin's trademark front air intake, the Valkyrie's elegant carbon-fibre body envelops a teardrop-shaped carbon-fibre passenger cell and is remarkable for its lack of external aerodynamic devices, most of the not inconsiderable downforce being generated by underfloor venturi tunnels and a large rear diffuser. There is also a large front splitter, while the magnesium alloy wheels too play a part in managing airflow. Such is the attention to aerodynamic detail that the traditional Aston Martin badge was replaced with one made from etched titanium a mere 40 microns thick!

Aston Martin turned to world-famous engine builders Cosworth Engineering for the 6.5-litre normally aspirated V12 power unit, which serves as a stressed chassis member and is augmented by a 120kW &#40;160bhp&#41; electric motor inside the gearbox, a hybrid combination that delivers a maximum of 1,160bhp. The petrol engine alone produces 1,000bhp at a heady 11,000rpm, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated power unit ever fitted in a production road car. With an eventual dry weight of 1,270kg, the Valkyrie just missed the 'one horsepower per kilogram' target but not by much. The seven-speed sequential transmission was supplied by Ricardo; to spare the clutch, the electric motor gets the car rolling from stationary, with the petrol engine engaging at around 10mph. There is no clutch pedal.

The interior lacks conventional gauges, all the necessary information being conveyed courtesy of a series of screens. It also has state-of-the-art headsets and an intercom, equipment made all the more necessary by the raucous bellow emitted by the high-revving V12. 

Built to German specification, this particular Valkyrie was delivered new in Monaco to former Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg on the 30th June 2022. The car is finished in Magnetic Silver with '6' decals, this being the number used by Rosberg when he won the Formula 1 World Championship driving a Mercedes 'Silver Arrow' in 2016. 

The paintwork benefits from the application of a protective film while the car's software was updated by the factory in May 2025. The Valkyire is still under warranty, which expires in June 2026, and also comes with its specification sheet, Certificate of Conformity, and original purchase invoice made out to Nico Rosberg. It also comes with the original case for the steering wheel and keys, as well as the case for the second set of seats for taller drivers.

Bentley's magnificent Continental sports saloon has been synonymous with effortless high speed cruising in the grand manner since its introduction on the R-Type chassis in 1952. Unlike the ordinary, factory-bodied, 'standard steel' R-Type, the Continental was bodied in the traditional manner and first appeared with what many enthusiasts consider to be the model's definitive style of coachwork - the lightweight, wind tunnel-developed fastback of H J Mulliner. 

The Continental's performance figures would have been considered excellent for an out-and-out sports car, but for a full four/five seater saloon they were exceptional: a top speed of 120mph, 100mph achievable in third gear, 50mph reached in a little over 9 seconds and effortless cruising at the 'ton'. Built for export only at first, the Continental was, once delivery charges and local taxes had been paid, almost certainly the most expensive car in the world, as well as the fastest capable of carrying four adults and their luggage. "The Bentley is a modern magic carpet which annihilates great distances and delivers the occupants well-nigh as fresh as when they started," concluded Autocar. 

With the arrival of the final generation of six-cylinder cars - the all-new Silver Cloud and Bentley S-Type - the Continental lost some of its individuality but none of its exclusivity. Eulogising about the new S-Series cars, introduced in April 1955, The Autocar wrote, "the latest Bentley model offers a degree of safety, comfort and performance that is beyond the experience and perhaps even the imagination of the majority of the world's motorists". 

Later, in October that same year, the Bentley Continental became available on the 'S' chassis. "It brings Bentley back to the forefront of the world's fastest cars," Autocar remarked of the H J Mulliner-styled fastback which, arguably, was the quickest four/five-seater saloon of its day. The S-Type's new box-section chassis incorporated improved brakes and suspension and an enlarged &#40;to 4,887cc&#41; and more powerful version of the existing inlet-over-exhaust six-cylinder engine, which for the first time was identical in specification in its Rolls and Bentley forms. The Continental version came with shorter radiator and higher gearing and, for a time at least, could be ordered with right-hand change, manual transmission. As had been the case with the original R-Type, the new S-Type Continental was only ever available as a coachbuilt car, the designs produced by independent coachbuilders for the S1 Continental chassis being among era's the most stylish, although  arguably  none ever improved on H J Mulliner's sublime original. 

A rare left-hand drive, automatic transmission model, this S-Series Continental was delivered new in January 1956 to Switzerland and first owned by one M Dubois. Since then it has had only one further owner &#40;in Switzerland&#41; and in all probability has never left that country &#40;see details in the comprehensive history file&#41;. In 2023-2024 a partial restoration was undertaken, which included a partial mechanical overhaul included the entire front suspension, brakes and steering, while at the same time a most extensive programme of maintenance was undertaken. In addition, the complete interior re-trim is very well described and recorded by photographs and invoices. The aforementioned history file also contains a FIVA Identity Card and copies of build specifications from Bentley Motors and H J Mulliner together with various invoices, photographs and receipts arranged in chronological order. A tool kit is included in the sale.

1964 Bentley S3 Continental Sports Saloon

Chassis number 'BC80XC' was ordered for delivery in February 1964 by Jack Barclay in London for their esteemed customer, Sir Robert McAlpine & Sons Ltd. Sir Robert, a life-long Bentley aficionado, chose H J Mulliner, Park Ward's two-door sports saloon coachwork for his new car, which was first registered as 'MCA 4', one from a series of similar distinctive plates belonging to that family. Following the McAlpine ownership, the car was acquired by a Mr Haynes of Bury Heath, and in 1975 passed into the ownership of Bentley enthusiast, Roy Adams, who was to retain it for some 25 years. 

In the year 2000 'BC80XC' joined a small but distinguished collection of Bentley motor cars and a major refurbishment was undertaken at a cost of some £60,000. The work included significant restoration of both front and rear wings, inner and outer sills, new inner wheel housings, and inner valances. Following completion of the structural work a bare metal respray was carried out, the car being refinished in metallic blue livery. During the same ownership the automatic gearbox was overhauled and during the next ownership a major overhaul of the brakes and general servicing was carried out. Also during the aforementioned ownership the leather interior was meticulously conserved by Trimline Systems; new carpets fitted,;and the woodwork refurbished. It is evident that previous owners spared no expense in their endeavours to maintain this car in the best possible driving condition. 

The current vendor purchased the Bentley at Bonhams' sale at Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire in June 2007 &#40;Lot 327&#41;, at which time it was stated that the recorded mileage of 49,322 was believed genuine. Since its acquisition the car has been carefully stored in the vendor's climate controlled garage. No significant restoration work has been carried out, although in 2008 there were some minor repairs made to the bumpers and paintwork. There is a good file of historical material with the car. It has not been registered in Switzerland but all Swiss customs duties have been paid.

Although widely acclaimed, the Porsche 911 was necessarily expensive, a shortcoming its maker addressed by offering the 912 which, though outwardly identical, was powered by the outgoing 356's 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine. The latter produced 90bhp, some 40 horsepower less than the 911's six, but this deficit was offset by significantly reduced weight resulting in a better balanced car with greatly improved road manners. The 911 gearbox was used, offering a choice of four or five speeds. Despite being down on power, the 912 had a respectable top speed of 191kkm/h &#40;119mph&#41;. Today the 912 is a relative rarity when compared with its better-known sibling. 

Restored in 2021, this Porsche 912 comes with invoices and photographs detailing the rebuild. The partial mechanical overhaul included the entire front suspension, brakes and steering, while at the same time a most extensive programme of maintenance was undertaken. The accompanying history file also contains a Porsche data card and various invoices, photographs and receipts arranged in chronological order.

"The BMW Z8 was to be nothing more than a styling exercise. A retro tribute to the 507, seen once as a motorshow concept and then wheeled off into immediate retirement and a life of occasional event and film appearances. But when it appeared at the Tokyo motorshow in 1997, the world went mad for it." - Top Gear magazine.  

In recent times many motor manufacturers, particularly those with a significant sporting heritage, have felt the need to reference iconic models from the past when launching their latest. BMW has proved adept at exploiting this 'retro' trend, commencing in 1996 with the Z3 coupé and convertible, the styling of which brilliantly recalled its fabulous '328' sports car of pre-war days. Its next effort along similar lines - the 'Z07' concept car of 1997 - took its inspiration from the post-war Alfred Goetz-designed '507', a luxurious limited-edition roadster.

The sensation of the 1997 Tokyo Auto Show, the Z07 was received so enthusiastically that BMW took the decision to press ahead with a production version: the Z8. For the most part the Z8 remained remarkably faithful to the original concept, retaining the 507-like twin-nostril front grille and distinctive front-wing vents. A period-style interior had been one of the Z07's most remarked upon features, and that too made it into the Z8.

The Z8's body panelling and bespoke spaceframe chassis were fabricated in lightweight and corrosion resistant aluminium, while the 32-valve 4,941cc V8 engine, shared with the M5 saloon, was built by BMW's Motorsport division. With 400bhp on tap, the Z8 raced to 100km/h &#40;62mph&#41; in 4.7 seconds and only the built-in rev limiter stopped it from exceeding 250km/h &#40;155mph&#41;. It was rumoured that 290km/h &#40;180mph&#41; was achievable with the restrictor removed...

Power reached the run-flat tyres via a Getrag six-speed manual gearbox. Needless to say, the Z8 also came with all the modern appurtenances one would expect of a flagship model: traction control, stability control, front and side air bags, GPS navigation, climate control and power operation of the seats, steering wheel and convertible hood all being included in the package. 

The fact that the Z8 was a low-volume model assembled, for the most part, by hand, enabled BMW to offer customers considerable freedom in personalising their cars. Further enhancing its appeal to collectors, the factory announced that a 50-year stockpile of Z8 parts would be maintained. Despite a &#40;US&#41; launch price of over $128,000, initial demand was so high that a bidding war broke out, with many Z8s selling for well in excess of that figure. By the time production ceased in 2003, 5,703 of these fabulous cars had been built. 

Finished in silver with red/black interior, this stunning Z8 was registered new by H R Owen in the UK and purchased by the current owner in May 2002 at 1,000 kilometres. The car has been registered in Switzerland since 2017 and comes with full service history with BMW in the UK and Pichler AG in Switzerland. It has seen very little use since the most recent service was carried out less than one year ago. Presented in truly exceptional condition throughout, this beautiful Z8 Roadster comes complete with all books and tools; Motorola mobile phone; CD player &#40;standard&#41;; and hardtop cover. After WW2, Sydney Allard progressed from specials-builder to motor manufacturer, though the latter activity was really little more than a means of financing the company's competition programme. Despite its small size and limited resources, Allard's achievements were legion, Sydney himself finishing 3rd at Le Mans in a J2 sports-racer and winning the Monte Carlo Rally outright in a P-Type saloon. 

Introduced in 1946, the competition-orientated J1 two-seater employed a 100" wheelbase chassis featuring Allard's trademark independently-suspended 'split' front axle and a De Dion rear end with inboard brakes. Like the vast majority of production Allards, the J1 used Ford/Mercury V8 components, these being readily obtainable from Ford in the UK. The K1 tourer was broadly similar apart from its longer wheelbase. 

Described by the vendor as in very good condition throughout, this K1 was restored in 2004/2005 and comes with a comprehensive photographic record of the work. The vendor owns a restoration shop in Switzerland and a museum, 'Pantheon Basel', where the Allard has been exhibited.

Inspired by the success of the Mustang 'pony car' in the USA, Ford introduced the Capri - 'The car you've always promised yourself' - to the European market in 1968. The Capri's imaginative fastback styling was a relatively new departure for the 'Blue Oval', but beneath the skin the car remained typically Ford, sharing engines, gearboxes, and many other components with the rest of the range.

This stunning Capri with the Ford Cologne-built 2.0-litre V6 engine was first registered on 30th November 1970 to a certain Mr Bersier of Yverdon-Les-Bains at the shores of Lac de Neuchatel. Mr Bersier kept the car until 1988, when it was deregistered and laid up in a dry storage. The Capri was in remarkably solid condition when found by the vendor, only the second owner since new, but nevertheless was subjected to a comprehensive restoration in 2021/2022. The body was professionally restored with new metal where needed and resprayed in the original and stunning typically 1970s colour of brown metallic. The car is offered with Swiss registration documents and pictures of the bodywork undergoing restoration. 

These early Capris have a dedicated following and this beautiful example is seeking only its third owner since 1970.

This unique prototype by Pietro Frua was first seen at the Paris Salon de l'Automobile in 1971. Looking like a scaled-down Ferrari 330 GTC, the Monte Carlo was based on a humble mass-produced family car  the Ford Escort 1300 MkI  so was a far cry from the expensive exotica usually associated with Frua. The car has featured in articles published in the German magazine Motor Klassik &#40;August 2018&#41; and in Autoretro &#40;issue 470, January 2022&#41;. 

It is reported that the wife of a Swiss architect acquired the car directly from Frua in 1972. The next owner kept the Monte Carlo from 1980 to 1998, and the third from then until 2016. The car has belonged to the current owner since 2018, forming part of his important collection of cars by Italian coachbuilders. Reportedly it was restored in 2003, when the colour was changed from brown metallic to the current, and very elegant, red metallic.

A rare opportunity to own a one-off design by one of the foremost Italian coachbuilders, the car is offered with Swiss registration documents; FIVA Passport &#40;issued 2018&#41;; scans of the aforementioned magazine articles; and an expert's report dated November 2017, which rates the car's condition as generally good.

Following the Austin-Healey 100's sensational debut at the 1952 Motor Show, the works entered two mildly modified cars in the 1953 Le Mans 24-Hour Race, which finished in 12th and 14th places, a highly praiseworthy achievement for what were recognisably production sports cars. Accordingly, the name 'Le Mans' was chosen for a bolt-on tuning kit offered through Austin-Healey dealers, enabling private owners could to bring their cars up to a specification approaching that of the works entries. With the kit installed, power increased from the standard 90 to 100bhp. The 100M is now one of the most sought-after classic Healeys. 

A four-speed BN2 model, this Austin-Healey 100 comes with a BMIHT Certificate showing that it was built in left-hand drive configuration for export to North America and completed in November 1955.  Originally finished in Healey Blue with matching trim and hood, it was despatched to Hambro Trading Inc, USA. The car was modified to 100M Le Mans specification at a later date when the current engine &#40;'1B222887/M'&#41; replaced the original &#40;'1B229609'&#41;. The car is sold with a Swiss "Carte Grise".

This top-of-the-range Pallas was first registered in Switzerland in 1972. In 1993 the car was purchased in Zurich by Jurek Zaba. After a couple of years he decided to commission renowned Citroën specialists Häfliger & Kunz AG in Dänikon to undertake an extensive restoration spanning the years 2001 to 2004. Among others the following panels were replaced: rear panel, inner and outer rear mudguards, boot floor, boot lid, front and rear floor panels, longitudinal sills, outer sills, and 'B' and 'C' pillars at the bottom. A complete stone chip protection was applied and all cavities given a protective coating.
 
The car was repainted in the original colour except the roof, which is now grey instead of black. 123 electronic ignition was fitted later; the fuel and water pumps replaced; the brakes overhauled; and the driveshaft and wheel hubs replaced. Häfliger & Kunz continued servicing the DS after the current owner's family purchased it in 2010. Offered with the last &#40;2024&#41; MFK as a Veteranenfahrzeug &#40;valid to 2030&#41; and a comprehensive illustrated condition report dated December 2024.

At the 1948 London Motor Show, visitors swarmed Jaguar's stand to glimpse a sensational new sportscar showcasing the advanced new twin-cam six-cylinder XK engine. The feverish reaction convinced Sir William Lyons to put the car into production, and in just a few short months, the stunning new XK120 debuted as the fastest production car in the world. 

This striking FHC &#40;Fixed Head Coupé&#41; variant of Jaguar's legendary sports car has been made even faster courtesy of a host of well-considered modifications beneath the skin. Replacing the original 3.4-litre engine is a later 4.2-litre unit, thoroughly modified by the respected UK specialist, Guy Broad. It is reported to have high-compression pistons, big valves, D-Type camshafts, a lightened flywheel and electronic ignition. It breathes in through triple SU HD8 carburetors, and out through a custom performance exhaust system. Making a reported 260 bhp, it puts that ample power down through a Tremec 5-speed gearbox and limited slip differential, while uprated front disc brakes keep things in check. 

Inside, feather-light Tillet carbonfibre sports seats provide welcome support through the bends, while the rest of the cabin retains the period charm. As the factory did not offer a Silver Cloud convertible or drophead coupé, a coachbuilt car was the only option if one's preference was Rolls-Royce-style fresh-air motoring. By far the most striking are those bodied to Norwegian Vilhelm Koren's design and coachbuilt by Park Ward; these models, with quad headlamps, constitute the majority of coachbuilt variants completed between 1962 and 1966.

This Silver Cloud III drophead coupé was delivered new in the UK through HR Owen. Accompanying documentation consists of a copy of its Rolls-Royce build sheet and a 2003 document from the Rolls-Royce Museum in Austria to previous Swiss owner Mr Bucheli stating that John Lennon was a former owner. Latest in a line of spectacular supercars from Lamborghini stretching back to the iconic Miura of 1966, the Aventador LP700-4 was launched at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, replacing the ageing Murcièlago as the Sant'Agata factory's flagship model. Like its predecessors, the newcomer was powered by a V12 engine, in the Aventador's case an all-new 6½-litre unit producing 690bhp. 

The Aventador LP700-4 offered here has the enhanced power package &#40;only available in 2013&#41; delivering a mighty 760bhp and 760Nm of torque, and also the Aventador S paintwork package, each of these options costing CHF10,500. 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GT Coupé

'Porsche has great plans for the 924. The car that began life as a Volkswagen, then became the basic model for the Porsche lineup, is slated to move upmarket until one day it will replace the 911...' - Road & Track, August 1980. 

Volkswagen's decision not to proceed with their designed-by-Porsche 914 replacement led to the latter taking on the project themselves. Launched in November 1975, the resulting 924 drew heavily on Volkswagen/Audi components: the 2-litre, four-cylinder, overhead-camshaft engine being a development of the Audi 100's, and the four-speed transaxle a VW unit. A five-speed Porsche-designed gearbox and improvements to the suspension were early developments, and in 1978 came the first truly high-performance 924 - the Turbo. The latter's extra 45bhp raised top speed to around 150mph, and this figure would be further improved upon by the 924 Carrera GT. 

A road model with competition potential, the luxuriously equipped Carrera GT was launched at the 1979 Frankfurt Show. Easily distinguishable from lesser 924s by virtue of its bonnet air intake and widened wheelarches, the Carrera GT was built in limited numbers - only 406 were made - 400 cars being the minimum requirement to gain homologation for rallying and Group 4 events. The standard version came with 210bhp but this could be boosted to well over 300bhp for racing. Three cars were entered by the works in the 1980 Le Mans 24-Hour Race, finishing 6th, 12th and 13th. 

For 1981, in the February of which year the 100,000th 924 left the factory, two more limited edition derivatives of the Carrera GT were offered. Produced for that season only, these were the GTS and GTR, the former being a 245bhp lightweight variant, although still road legal to comply with homologation regulations, while the latter was an even more powerful &#40;375bhp+&#41; competition car intended for racing and rallying. The 924 line was discontinued in 1988. 

The current vendor purchased this Porsche 924 Carrera GT from the second owner - a former president of Porsche Romand and its custodian for some 20 years - who had bought the car from the first owner in Geneva. One of only 26 Black A1-painted cars remaining, the Porsche's history is known from 2000 onwards and there are extensive invoices on file accumulated by the previous owner and our vendor. Items benefiting from refurbishment during the present ownership include the suspension, front seats, exhaust system and paintwork &#40;bills available&#41;. While in the present ownership the 924 has been entered in several local Swiss rallies: Chablais, Valais, Ollon Villars, etc. Described by the vendor as in generally very good condition, the car comes complete with handbook, tools, jack, tyre inflator, cover, foldable spare wheel,  Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and Contrôle Technique valid until 13.02.2029.

In 1979 the 'S' version of Porsche's 928 arrived featuring a 4.6-litre engine while in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 'S4'. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of 16-valve cylinder heads and enlargement to 4,957cc, the 'S4' could now top 257km/h.
