1995 Ferrari F512 MThe Rare Red HeadLaunched in 1994, the Ferrari F512 M was the third and final evolution of the modern-day Testarossa. Thanks to its gated-manual gearbox, a power output increased to 440hp, and its rear mid-engine flat-12 configuration, the F512 M represented the ultimate in performance and styling Ferrari could offer in terms of a pure, physical 12-cylinder experience.A styling overhaul by Pininfarina introduced a completely new nose and rear for this third and final rendition of the vehicle. The traditional pop-up headlights were replaced with a more aerodynamic and integrated ellipsoidal headlight. Two small NACA air ducts, inspired from the legendary F40, were added to the hood to help improve interior ventilation. At the business end of the vehicle, the grill that once ran the length of the tail was reduced in dimensions and framed by two pairs of more traditional, small circular rear lights. The front and rear bumpers, along with the engine cover were now painted to match the same colour as the rest of the body. The Speedline alloy rims were specific to this model, complete with modular 'pinwheel' pattern. In addition to several other enhancements to the vehicle, the interior quality was also improved with an updated dashboard, centre console, and premium materials.Horsepower saw an increase with each new variation, from 390hp on the initial Testarossa, to 428hp on the improved 512 TR, to this ultimate version on the F512 M boasting 440hp.Thanks to improved aerodynamics, power boost, ABS, and the shedding of 150 pounds -- performance saw a noticeable boost topping out with a land speed of 196/mph. It would be nearly three decades until Maranello produced another naturally aspirated 12-cylinder engine located rear of the occupants with the Daytona SP3. All of these technical developments meant this was the fastest, most powerful, and lightest 12-Cylinder of this generation.Produced from 1*number in the description* with only 501 limited examples produced, the F512 M is the rarest Testarossa variant by a significant margin.This fine example is equipped with a very rare and sought-after combination of features and vehicle history.
