Not a garage queen. Very reliable and drive I drive it whenever it isnât raining. I sold the car when I moved out of the country for a few years and bought it back when I returned. Car fax available.
Itâs very quick. The turbo/chip/exhaust upgrades really make it more fun and drivable. The sound system is great to experience. Itâs not over done and looks very professional and stock. The A/C works great. I have always used Mobile One synthetic oil and have used Redline transmission oil and Redline Water Wetter in the chargecooler and engine cooling system. The car has not been abused. I am very easy on the clutch and never let it slip for fast starts.
I have replaced the head gasket approx. 1k miles ago and it got all new belts, coolant, oil and timing belt idler bearing. Engine was completely rebuilt/refreshed approx 30k miles ago by a very reputable Lotus restorer due to a lost timing belt. (contact info provided upon request). Fuel tanks were checked at the same time and have no corrosion or rust. Located in Charlotte NC. I can pick you up at the airport for a test drive.

Battery Tender with plug behind the license plate so the rear hatch doesn't need to be open to connect.
Wheels and mirrors are plasti-dipped. Can be removed easily. This was done just for appearance and not to hide any issues.

Original turbo. Disassembled with a rebuild kit

Extra oil pressure sender and oil pressure gauge
Oil pump rebuild kit

Original ECU chip (I had a whole new chip ordered for the chip upgrade)

Original front brake rotors. Drilled rear brake rotors (needs turning)
Original catalytic converter
Original secondary injectors
Extra set of tail lights
Original roof bag.
4 cans of real R12 Freon and fill hose. I add approx. Â½ can every other year.
2 extra chin spoiler sets (need plastic welding and painting)
Stock rear spoiler
Various other parts/belts/hoses

Issues:
There are a couple paint blemishes where rear spoiler was removed (clearcoat transition can be seen at the right angle). A couple chips/scratches on the front bumper, side skirt, slight rubbing on right door handle.
Seepage from engine/transmission seal (not enough to have to refill, but enough to see the moisture on the bottom)
Carpet a little bit faded
Owners manual has oil/water stain
Headliner has a few splits
Not really a problem but something you should be aware of. There is a well-documented problem with the oil pressure gauge/sender on these cars in the Lotus forums. This one has the same issue. When idling when warm, the needle shows very low, almost in the red. I Have replaced both the gauge and sender and it still shows the same. I connected a different brand mechanical gauge and it showed very good oil pressure. This is a result of modern multi viscosity engine oils. The oil pressure exactly where it should be.
