To be OFFERED AT AUCTION at Worldwide Auctioneers' The Auburn Auction, August 28-28. Coachwork by Pininfarina U.S.-spec model Ferrari 365 GT 2+2s are both exceptionally rare and highly desirable. With a long list of standard luxury features and amazing performance, it's no wonder Road & Track magazine christened it, 'The Queen Mother of Ferraris.' Introduced at the Paris Auto Salon in 1967, the 365 GT 2+2 was simply the most luxurious Ferrari produced at the time. It raised the bar for luxury performance in the '60s, and was a very positive step for Ferrari's sales and market presence in the U.S.    The list of standard equipment on this impressive 2+2 includes power rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes, and a remarkable self-leveling suspension system, which was a first for Ferrari. While nearly every Ferrari of the earlier eras were equipped with rear-mounted transaxles, the 365 2+2 gearbox was mounted more typically directly behind the engine, sending power to a traditional rear differential system. Under the sleek hood is a legendary powerplant - Ferrari's powerful 4.4-litre Colombo V-12 topped with three twin-choke Weber carburetors. It looks fantastic, sounds amazing, and the 320 horsepower is easily enough to propel this luxury GT to speeds in excess of 145 mph.     According to research by marque historian Marcel Massini, chassis 13161 was completed in March 1970, though it is titled as a 1969. Delivered new to Luigi Chinetti Motors of New York, it was finished in Blu Caracalla over a Arancia Connolly interior. A U.S.-specification example, it was delivered with factory air-conditioning, power windows, and its instruments in miles. It was sold new to Big Apple resident Professor Ennio Gherardi in April of 1970, who then sold it to Dr. Milton Bryant of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1974. In 1978, it was sold to Lancaster, Pennsylvania resident Thomas F. Schell, who then sold it in 1982 to renowned Ferrari collector P. Paul Pappalardo in Greenwich, Connecticut. Eventually this 365 GT would end up on the West Coast in Beverly Hills under the ownership of Hollywood producer Randy Simon. Staying in the states, this example was acquired by the current owner in 2021 from the previous Illinois-based owner who retained it for 22 years. Today, this example presents very well and has been properly serviced, retaining its classic styling cues such as split front bumpers, quad-exit exhausts, 15-inch Borrani knock-off wire wheels, and a stylish Arancia leather cabin.    Known for their road manners and as the ideal choice for touring events, this 365 GT retains its numbers-matching V-12 engine that is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the perfect combination for a Sunday jaunt. Furthering its accolades for touring, the spacious cabin features optional air-conditioning for those hot summer days, power steering, power brakes, power windows and a classic Blaupunkt radio. Most recently in the summer of 2025, a valve servicing was completed, fluids were flushed and replaced, and suspension components were attended to. Accompanying the sale of this 365 GT 2+2 is Massini report, various owner's manuals, a toll roll kit, jack, and wrench.    The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 proved to be the ultimate Gentleman's GT in the late '60s and early '70s. Still loved to this day because of its stylish looks and smooth performance, this one-of-only-809 built, numbers-matching Ferrari is an excellent opportunity to own a vehicle that carries the legendary prancing horse logo and Pininfarina nameplate.
