In 2005, the third generation of the Corvette Z06 for sale made its way into production with the largest displacement small-block V8 produced by general motors, the 7.0 liter LS7 V8. Pumping out 505 hp naturally aspirated LS7, the Z06 shredded its 0-60 mph time to 3.6 seconds pushed to a new top speed of 198 mph. Visually separating itself from the standard Vette, the 2005 Z06 convertible and coupe featured wider carbon fiber front and rear fenders, an air inlet in the front bumper for improved airflow to the brakes and side-mounted Z06 badge. Interior options included premium sports seats and redesigned side bolsters to keep passengers stationary in severe cornering conditions.

Born as a method to evade a ban on factory-sponsored racing, the Corvette  Z06 emerged in the 1963 production year. Equipped with upgraded suspension, brakes, reinforced roll bars, and enlarged gas tank, the first Z06 was the performance Vette to have. When the 2001 Z06 rolled off the Bowling Green, Kentucky production line, the Z06 badge advertised Chevy’s high-performance reputation and the newly modified 385 hp LS6 V8.

As a result of its titanium exhaust, thinner window glass, reduced sound-proofing material, and lightweight alloy wheels, the Z06 was 83 pounds lighter and significantly faster than the standard car. In 2002, the Z06 further benefitted from a performance increase to 405 hp, allowing it to smash a 3.9 second 0-60 mph time and a top speed of 170 mph.

For the 2015 model year, the completely redesigned C7 Corvette became available with the lauded Z06 option. Having broken properly into supercar territory from the realm of the American muscle sports car, The Z06 featured a supercharged 6.2 liter LT4 V8 and a myriad of aerodynamic enhancements to improve downforce and reduce drag.

With an interior clad in premium luxury materials like Napa leather, carbon fiber, and aluminum accents, the2015 Z06 exhibits some of the best build quality ever seen. In comparison to the European sports cars it rivals, the Z06 stands on its own as a serious and high-quality contender in the elitist area.

To find your dream Z06, view our listings for a used Z06 for sale in an exclusive lineup across the country. A highly-anticipated American vehicle that has outrageous power, GT racing levels of downforce and the handling of a supercar? It can only be the 2015 Corvette Z06.

I did a feature on the racing C7.R at Le Mans this year which focused on the successful technology partnership between Pratt & Miller and the GM engineers. This extends to almost every area of the car and it proves that racing is still the best ‘hothouse’ for fast-track development of technology.

And why is this good news for us? Well, starting with the fact that the downforce figures on the Stingray were the best ever by a GM vehicle, the Z06 will stun that statistic into submission. The front splitter is as wide and pronounced as regulations allow and the complex body panels feed the air back over a stylish and effective rear spoiler. There are also the two functional intakes just above and in front of the rear wheels that feed air to the drivetrain, lessons learned from the demands of the race program. But people will likely talk most about the engine and the herculean level of power and torque that the Z06 will hit the roads with. The LT4 supercharged engine will deliver a minimum of 650 horsepower and 650 foot-pounds of torque.

In the short space of time since the ZR1 hit our roads with a vengeance, the Z06 looks like it will be a most eligible successor. Just meaner, faster and even better looking.

C7 Z06 Corvette

Racing around the track in a supercharged C7 Corvette like one of the stars from The Fast and the Furious is your recurring dream. Don’t wait until you go to sleep to enjoy the thrill.

Find a C7 Z06 for sale, snap that puppy up and you’ll be flying 0-60 in only 3.8 seconds!

Whether you love the 3LZ C7 Z06 trim package with its Pearl Nickel-painted aluminum wheels or prefer the 3LT Stingray, one thing’s for sure. Your fancy new sports car will be turning heads in your town when you go out for a drive!

It came out for the 2014 model year and finished its run in 2019. Production numbers for the cars are quite low for every year they were made. This makes finding a used C7 Z06 Corvette to buy no small feat. However, we make it easy here at the duPont Registry. In one place, check out a modified C7 Z06 in Ohio or look at one with a 6-speed manual in Chicago.

You’ll be racing home in the car of your dreams much quicker than you ever thought possible. Stop in today to view listings all across the country for these incredible cars!

C6 Z06 Corvette

The C6 Corvette Z06 is made from the best stuff that dream cars are made of. A variant of the Chevrolet Corvette (C6), the Z06 frame is built from aluminum. This makes it lighter than a standard steel frame by 36 pounds.

On top of that, a magnesium alloy was used for the engine cradle and the floors are made from a balsa wood/carbon fiber composite, making this sleek car the lightest Corvette available. The whole car weighs about 3,130 and gets about 15 miles to the gallon during city driving and 24 mpg on the highway.

Pounce on the gas in a supercharged C6 Corvette and enjoy 0-60 in an exhilarating 3.6 seconds.

C6 Z06 production from 2006–2013 was an exciting time for car enthusiasts. The good news is that it isn’t over yet. Even though the cars have been out of production for a few years now, it’s possible to find a C6 Z06 for sale from this time frame.

Choose Z06 trim packages 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ from among our awesome selection of Corvettes here at Dupont Registry. We make it easy to find and add the perfect Corvette C6 Z06 to your exotic car collection today.
