To celebrate their 150th anniversary, the Alfa Romeo Giulia for sale was introduced to the world. This new four-door sedan took the automotive industry by surprise with its raw power, gorgeous Italian styling, and heritage backing it up. Along with the standard Giulia model, Alfa Romeo also revealed the top-of-the-line Giulia Quadrifoglio.

This new front-engine sedan packs a 2.9-liter Bi-Turbo V6 engine that produces 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. This makes for a power-to-weight ratio that’s near 7lbs/hp. With this balance of power and weight, the car can rocket from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and top out at 191 mph. Alfa Romeo has even clocked the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s Nurburgring lap time at 7:39 minutes.

To round out the raw power of the engine there are two notable features that only add to the car’s performance-focused DNA. The first is the active aero front splitter. Made of carbon fiber, this spoiler dynamically adjusts itself to create downforce when needed. The second feature is the Alfa Active Suspension, which will adapt to the driving conditions according to the mode selected with the Alfa DNA Pro feature.

For Alfa Romeo’s 105th anniversary they took the wraps off of a new beautiful sedan. A Ferrari-inspired 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 will arrive in the Giulia, capable of creating a reported 505 horsepower and reaching 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds. The most powerful engine they have ever produced features cylinder deactivation along with rumors of a manual transmission. Lightweight materials were used in construction, including carbon fiber, aluminum, and aluminum composite. But what the company loves most about the Giulia is its design. The marque prides itself on five elements of design that set them apart from the rest: distinctive Italian design; state-of-the-art, innovative engines; perfect 50/50 weight distribution; unique technical solutions and the best power-to-weight ratio. These combine to create “la Meccanica Delle Emozioni,” loosely translated to mean “the mechanics of emotions.” The aim is to create the ultimate driving experience in every way possible, rather than create a car capable of one amazing feat but falling short in the realms of comfort or excitement.
