Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, the Bentley Flying Spur for sale was unveiled for the 2014 model year. As a large four-door luxury sedan, the car eliminated 'Continental' from its name to distance itself from the two-door coupes and convertibles also offered. Featuring the 616 hp 6.0 liter W12 standard in other cars, the car is also available with a more fuel efficient and smaller 500 hp 4.0 liter, twin-turbocharged V8.

The exterior aesthetic of the car for sale displays crisper edges at the upper limits of the fenders and design lines, juxtaposed to a more subtle modulation in the open areas of doors, hood and roof. This design approach takes this generation architecture further into the realm of sculpture, where the eye is led deliberately about the auto's even proportions as it fills its formidable chassis.

Underneath a hide of aluminum and steel, the car features reinforced B-pillars and other structural elements to improve the auto's level of safety in an accident, as well as a modified suspension to absorb any undesirable lumps from the asphalt. This version of the FS suspension also aids the sound-reducing efforts as it has been softened by 25 percent.

The interior of the Spur in its W12 and V8 iterations has also benefitted from sound-deadening with lightweight sound-repressing panels under the floor mats and acoustic glass in the windows. Touchscreen access for both drivers and passengers has been integrated as a seamless gateway to the performance and entertainment settings to round out the vastly customizable interior.

The Flying Spur is a little late to the redesign, prompting reservations about its continued existence. So while the GT and GTC have been running about with new threads, V-8s, and higher-performing W-12s, the ultra-luxury car is just undergoing the facelift. But this is no mere GT with four doors. In fact, it's not even a Continental anymore. It's still based on the Continental architecture but has officially dropped that part of its name. Like an 18-year-old athirst for the freedom of a faraway college, the Flying Spur is going off on its own with no ties to the two-doors, at least by name. It's fitting, seeing how much the Flying Spur has changed. The body is stiffer, but the suspension is softer for added comfort, playing to the emerging Chinese market (looks like it's yearning for the student exchange program).

It's lighter, more powerful, and faster than the outgoing model, too. It's also wrapped in sharp new duds, with strong feature lines, a swept-back look, and muscular rear haunches. It's doing its own thing on its own timetable.

2019 Bentley Flying Spur From 0-60 in 3.4 seconds flat, the Flying Spur is a powerful piece of machinery. Equipped with a biturbo 6.0-liter W12 engine, 626 horsepower output and 664 lb-ft of pure torque, this 8-speed automatic vehicle pairs all the opulence of the Bentley brand with a level of power often reserved for race cars. With an equal focus on comfort, luxury and performance, this enhanced four-door model is the follow-up to the 2018 version which was the first vehicle of its kind to reach top speeds of over 200 MPH. Staying true to its roots, the latest Flying Spur model is expected to exceed the 200 MPH mark.
