Owners of the Staten Island mansion used in "The Godfather" are making New Yorkers an offer they can't refuse.  The eight bedroom Tudor-style house is being sold for $2.9 million.  The famous home sits on a 24,000-square-foot lot and includes an inground pool and a four-car garage.  The mansion features four bedrooms, two fireplaces, and a pub basement.

Francis Ford Coppola directed "The Godfather."  The film starred Marlon Brando as the fictitious mobster Don Vito Corleone and actor Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, Don Corelone's youngest son and heir to the family business.  The production crew filmed the wedding reception for Connie, Don Corelone's daughter outside in the garden.  Scenes of the family eating and gathering together for meetings were filmed inside the home.  Owner James Norton recounted to the press how his mother kept artifacts from "The Godfather" intact,  including Brando's cue cards.

"We just hope whoever buys it doesn't want to knock it down and build something new," neighbor Peter Albert, 66, told the Daily News.  "It's a beautiful home."

"I remember when they filmed the wedding in the backyard," his wife, Elain Alber, 62, added.  "People know it. Japanese tourists come here to take pictures. We like it the way it is."

"I was just a boy when they filmed the movie here," stated Steven Howard, 67.  "I grew up knowing it as 'The Godfather House.'  According to realtor, Connie Profaci, the house needs some work.  However, the family is hoping the house's famous iconic film history will still bring buyers to the market.

Would you buy a house made famous in a film?
