URBAN WHIP GLK BUILD PROCESS

Click on the thumbnails to view a time lapsed journey of the GLK Urban Whip transformation from start to finish. With over 3000 man hours jammed into 47 days it was a wild but rewarding ride to the finish line.

Day 1 – We received our totally stock 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK350 and had it stripped to bare metal within 2 hours!

Day 3 - We removed the roof and pillars to start the transformation to the ultimate speedster with reinforced panels, etc.

Day 14 – we received the body kit pieces and began removing them from the molds , some came easier than others!

Day 21 – the stereo installation began with running wires and making fiberglass molds for the subwoofers that would be installed in the doors

Day 22 – custom rear seats were crafted as well as a custom center console

Day 17 - Suspension modifications were made to custom fit the 26” wheels and Pirelli tires

Day 26 – body kit fitted

Day 38 - body kit painted and installed

Day 40 speedster cover assembly designed

Day 44 interior installation

Day 46 stereo amp rack

Day 47 – DELIVERY! After our party we put the GLK on transport headed for MB USA Headquarters in NJ, where we wouldn’t see her again until the reunion in LV.
