Aston Martin DB7s for sale are now available at duPont REGISTRY. The Aston Martin
DB7 started life on a piece of paper by Ian Callum. It debuted at the Geneva Auto
Show in 1992 and went on sale in 1994. The first DB7 for sale came with a I-6 making
355 horsepower. In 1996, Aston Martin added the Volante, or convertible, which a
tad more expensive and slightly slower, but sold well. In 1999, the Aston Martin
DB7 gained a 6.0-liter V-12 making 420 hp. That made the Aston Martin DB7 capable
of going zero-to-60 mph in 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 186 mph.
No matter what year Aston Martin DB7 for sale you are searching for, all were praised
and copied for their timeless beauty and classic lines. Considered one of the most
beautiful cars ever created, Ian Callum gained celebrity status with what he did
at Aston Martin. The car was produced from 1994 to 2003, during a time when Ford
Motor Company owned the brand. The car was a huge success and more than 7,000 were
built before it was replaced with the DB9. After the launch of DB7 V-12 Vantage
in 1999, sales of the V-8-powered car shriveled and it was discontinued.
In 2002, a special edition, called the V12 GT, was created. The V-12’s horsepower
was pushed up to 435 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. It can be easily spotted due to
its mesh grille, rear spoiler, new wheels, and carbon fiber trim. A variety of other
special-edition DB7s were produced. These cars had basic, cosmetic changes.
By far the most memorable edition was the DB7 Vantage Zagato. All 99 examples quickly
sold out when it was released in 2002. At its heart, the $225,000 Vantage Zagato
was a Vantage with more elaborate body work and a shortened chassis.
