The beautiful Z8 supercar was designed to resemble the famous 507 roadster of the
1950s. The BMW Z8 quickly became infamous after its starring role in the James Bond
film The World Is Not Enough. The roadster has a long hood and short rear
deck with two bulging headlamps, which sets it apart from most other vehicles on
the road. The car's look is both retro and modern at the same time. Using an all-aluminum
chassis, Z8 roadster was light, which helped push its handling into the upper echelon
of the sports car market. It also utilized a big V-8 engine for propulsion. The
interior is a dramatic turn towards retro. The main cluster is located in at the
center of the dash and the steering wheel resembles a classic musclecar with its
three metal spokes.
BMW produced about 1,500 Z8s a year from 2000 to 2003.
