The beautiful Z8 supercar was a roadster designed to resemble the famous 507 roadster of the 1950s. The BMW Z8 quickly garnished famous status after starring in the James Bond film The World is not Enough. The roadster had a long hood, short rear deck look with two bulging headlamps and a twin kidney grills setting it apart from any other vehicle on the road. The car looked retro and modern at the same time. The interior took a dramatic turn towards retro though. The main gauge cluster was moved to the center dash and the steering wheel resembled a classic muscle car with its three metal spokes.
The BMW Z8 roadster was produced from 2000-2003 at about 1,500 a year. Using an all aluminum chassis helped make the Z8 roadster light and pushed its handling into the upper echelon of the sports car market. A super solid chassis like the one utilized helps all things including handling aptitude, braking ability and acceleration numbers.
