The S6 is a high-performance version of the A6 midsized sedan. The A6 was a replacement to the 100 sedan. All A6 cars come with all-wheel drive. The RS6 pushed the performance envelope even further and has been available from 2002.
The Audi S6 went on sale in 1994. The first S6 was powered by a 2.2L turbo I-5 that produced 227 horsepower, the same engine could also be found in the S4.
