In 2005, the Acura NSX was in the third year of its new facelift. Despite being
on the market since 1990 and becoming a familiar face, the 2005 Acura NSX still
sold well. Although the 2005 Acura NSX still looks very similar to a 1990 model,
there are still are some major differences. The 2005 Acura NSX came with the fixed
headlamps, which had replaced with flip-up units in 2002. The 2005 Acura NSX came
with a 3.2-liter V-6 producing 290 hp; having been previously bumped up from 270
hp.
The car was well known for offering both comfort and performance. The car is ergonomically
superior to many supercars you can buy even today, let alone any of the supercars
you would have found back in 1990. It’s the engineering and craftsmanship that make
the NSX still viable and enjoyable even by today’s supercar standards.
