2000 Acura NSXs for sale are now available at duPont REGISTRY.
The 2000 Acura NSX was one of the, if not the, hottest, most desirable model in
the Acura model lineup. When looking for an Acura NSX for sale, there are a couple
things to keep in mind. The Acura NSX has been around since 1990, which means you
can find many NSX cars for sale at a reasonable price that look very similar to
a newer NSX model. After 1995, the Acura NSX was only available with t-tops and
thus has more weight and a softer suspension. It was in 1997 that the Acura NSX
received the more powerful 3.2-liter V-6. If price is not a concern, try to look
for the more powerful Acura NSX for sale that post dates 1997.
The NSX, or New Sportscar Experimental, as it was named during development, was
the first supercar to come from Japan. Unleashed to the American public in 1990,
the NSX has been a huge hit for Honda’s Acura division. The NSX never really changed
from the time of its inception until 2005 when production was halted. The only refreshing
it got was a new motor in 1997 and a facelift in 2002.
The car was well known for offering both comfort and performance. The car is ergonamically
superior to many supercars you can buy even today, let alone any of the supercars
you would have found back in 1990. It’s the engineering and craftsmanship that make
the NSX still viable and enjoyable even by today’s supercar standards. One little
tidbit of engineering excellence is the t-tops found on the NSX-T. Take the top
off your NSX-T and store it in its ingenious spot above the engine without sacrificing
luggage space! It’s the little things like this that make the Acura NSX near perfect,
even when competing against cars engineered as recently as last year.
The Alex Zanadi Edition is the rare gem in the NSX collection. Only 51 examples
were produced in 1999 in commemoration of Alex Zanardi’s back-to-back CART championship
wins in 1997 and 1998. The special model was only available in Formula Red, with
a stiffer suspension, and a lower curb weight.
Unfortunately, the next generation Acura NSX has been suspended indefinitely. The
car was previosuly spotted track testing in Honda S2000 guise; however, for the
most part information on the car was scarce. It was rumored a V-10 engine producing
somewhere north of 550 horsepower was being developed. The engine was going to be
coupled to a six-speed automated-manual transmission and would have been tied to
SH-AWD, which first found its way into the Acura RL.
