Built Ford Racing 302 V8 with GT40 heads, Holley carburetor, Holman-Moody intake, long tube headers and stainless steel exhausts with electronic cutouts.  Tremec 5 speed gearbox running to a Currie 9” rearend with 3.75 gears.  The interior is stripped out and set up for driving…Safecraft 5 point harnesses, Recaro racing bucket seats, quick-release steering wheel, fire suppression system, Stewart-Warner gauges and 10 point custom roll cage.  Inside the trunk, you can see how serious this build was…22 gallon fuel cell, custom metal fabrication throughout framing the battery box and spare fluids holder.  A spare is strapped into the roll cage.  All laid out properly and done professionally.  Street legal and currently California titled and registered.  Two-time Copperstate 1000 entree. Fusion Motor Company proudly presents this 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner with ONLY 30,199 miles!  The 62' Galaxie 500 Sunliner was Ford's top-of-the-line car available in the 60s, the name was derived from a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race. The car features a wide grille, sleek lines, and a long hood.  The interior is spacious and well-appointed. Cruise-O-Matic transmission, power steering, power convertible top, tinted windshield, and dual outside mirrors. The car is powered by a 352/220 HP V-8 engine that delivers strong and smooth performance. The car starts right up, idles well, and is a joy to drive!  A new full-width grille with quad headlights revised round tail lights, trim and bumpers gave the 1962 Galaxies a fresh, new look on a shorter, narrower, and lower body. The Sunliner was based on the Galaxie 500 that added backup lights, an electric clock, and bright metal trim, including the body-side moldings with color insert stripe. In place of the "Galaxie 500" script emblems on the rear quarters, the convertibles had their own "Sunliner" script. The interior was also updated, including a revised instrument panel with white numerals over an engine-turned metal background. Please email  or call 1-*number in the description*  About the Galaxie 500:  For 1962, the Galaxie name was applied to all of Ford's full size models, as the Fairlane name was moved to a new intermediate model and Custom was temporarily retired. New top-line Galaxie 500 (two-door sedan and hardtop, four-door sedan and hardtop, and "Sunliner" convertible) models offered plusher interiors, more chrome trim outside, and a few additional luxury items over and above what was standard on the plainer Galaxie models. Base Galaxie models were available in two- and four-door sedans as well as the plain Ranch Wagon. In an effort to stimulate midseason sales, Ford introduced a group of sporty cars along with a "Lively Ones" marketing campaign. These models featured the bucket seats and console that were popularized by the Chevrolet Corvair Monza, and included a Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe, and a Falcon Futura.  This model was Ford's response to Chevrolet's Super Sport option for the big Impala, which was introduced the previous year and saw a significant rise in sales for 1962. A 406 cu in (7 L) engine was available in single four-barrel or triple-carbureted "six-barrel" form. Tailfins were gone, giving the 1962 models a more rounded, softer rear end look.
