In 1929, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe for sale was released, claiming it to be of the best performing, highest in luxury and most customizable cars available. Today, this has not changed. Offered with 15 different colors, or the buyer’s choice of any other color they can find laying around the house, the owner of this prestigious coupe; will feel like he sat down with Giles Taylor himself to design it. The Coupe; holds the unique classic styling and coach doors you expect of RR. The interior invites you to step into another world,” describes Alan Sheppard, Head of Interior Design, on their website. Within the Coupé, you have the most advanced infotainment system on the market, hand-stitched leather and a roof featuring built-in fiber-optic stars to give your world a consistently clear night sky. Your chariot carries you on 21-inch wheels of your choice pulled along by 453 horses contained within a 6.75 liter V-12. With the firmer suspension and more direct steering, the Coupe's performance and timeless elegance that will truly amaze car enthusiasts of every breed.

Supple leather that required more than a dozen Alpine bulls’ hides, a thin-rimmed steering wheel with room to jostle off-center, hand cut, lacquered and polished wood veneers; it all feel so antiquated. Then there’s the 360-degree view offered by the five incorporated cameras, the full LED exterior lighting that automatically changes beam patterns to follow corners, and a large, 8.8-inch touchscreen with a revised, BMW-sourced iDrive interface. It's like a marriage between old and new, yesteryear with advanced technologies. Changes come slowly and deliberately with the RR family, such as the switch from a six- to eight-speed automatic, which does as much to aid the efficiency and performance of the V-12 engine as the glimmer of newness to the 10-year-old design. It may be getting a little long in the tooth, but the luxury car still makes quite an impression and will leave people talking. It's probably because it represents 110 years of know-how and workmanship combined with 21st-century advancements.

RR's most exclusive model with only 200 or so examples hand assembled each year - most owners who want their cars with two doors opt for the drophead convertible version. Yet to us, this two-door hardtop is also the most elegant, most stunningly-proportioned Rolls-Royce model in the line-up, with its low, sexy roofline, hefty rear roof pillars and gorgeous slope to its rear window.

It has also benefitted well from the styling changes made to the 2013 lineup, with the jettisoning of those mildly-ridiculous frisbee-shaped headlights in favor of slimline rectangular units with their bright-white LEDs.

While the Phnatom Coupe for sale may no longer be the sportiest Rolls-Royce coupe - that honor goes to the twin-turbo'd Ghost - this 18-plus-foot fastback does very nicely with its 453-horse 6.75-liter V-12. Zero to 60 mph may be covered in 5.6 seconds, but performance here is measured in the hours it can spend spearing crossing continents close to its 155 mph-limited max. To us, it’s still the used Phantom coupe de thrill. Without the accent.
