For 2017, the SL-Class received a new exterior along with new interior color choices. The revised front end adopts the latest design language along with a few interior upgrades. Slightly longer and lower than last year, the two models can be easily distinguished from SL450 and 550 by the large air intakes flanking the lower grille. Those lesser models received the new 9-speed automatic, but engines and transmissions for the 63 and 65 are unchanged. The Mercedes SL65 AMG for sale is a rare breed of family sedan mixed with a track day monster.

The 6.0L V12 with twin turbochargers sends 621 hp and 738 lb-ft to a 7-speed automatic transmission. A locking differential is now standard, along with an active curve system. The sports car has the ability to lean the body into a curve up to 2.5 degrees to make cornering more enjoyable. The trunk partition is now powered to help with cargo, and two new USB ports will keep you connected. The safety features are unmatched, as the collision avoidance radar can sense a panic stop two cars ahead. If you need a two-seat roadster with the most torque and tech, the SL is a great choice.

The two-door roadster was engineered specifically to fuse the driving spirit with what it means to own a luxury vehicle. It packs 630 horsepower and 738 foot-pounds of torque, all from the 6.0-liter V-12 bi-turbo engine, aided by & calibrated adaptive hydraulic suspension system. A streamlined exterior rests upon 19-inch alloy wheels, giving the car an aggressive yet enticing appearance. The retractable hardtop boasts a panoramic glass sunroof that can dim and lighten on command, and going topless is always an option. A new safety feature incorporated with the Distronic Plus cruise control system allows the Roadster to sense the speed of traffic and adapt to traffic conditions. This means the cruise-control system will brake and accelerate for the driver when stuck in traffic. If that wasn’t enough to pair sport with luxury, the Roaster is also equipped with a high-resolution color display, which allows hands-free interaction. When spirits are high, and the roads are unbeatable, the Drive Unit offers three different drive modes and suspension adaptations to fit its true sports car profile.

When a reputable manufacturer like Mercedes wants to create something great, that is exactly what they do. Looking at the Roadster, it’s as if all of the driving passion and love for engineering radiates from its exterior. Nothing is dull; everything is clean and proportional, yet, as inviting as the sports car may seem from the outside, its handcrafted 6.0-liter V12 is an aggressive work of art. A twin-turbo system pumps upwards of 22 PSI, giving the Roadster 630 horsepower and a neighborhood-shaking 738 pound-feet of torque. Just as the exterior delights draw you in, the power keeps you in. A driver-oriented interior has all safety features in place, including a torque-vectoring brake system. The car is no less than a track-bound, passion-infused beast of the tarmac. Even more choices and options are available through additional packages, giving a personalized touch to the vehicle. With breathtaking interior trims as well, this exotic beauty is worth every penny, and its Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Sound System makes those topless drives that much more enjoyable.

When was the last time an AMG made you think WOW? If we told you the SL65 made 621 horsepower and 738 foot-pounds of torque, would that do it? With so many variants, it’s easy to pass them over without recognizing their grandeur. To put it in perspective, the roadster is more expensive, has more cylinders, and makes mounds more torque than the base Mercedes-Benz, the SLS flagship. The SL kind of looks like the SLS, too. But while the SLS is an iconic rebirth ready for the track, the SL is all grand-touring vehicle, eating up road miles as it cruises in the upper echelons of the speedometer. It's massive, 6.0-liter V-12 engine spools up a pair of exhaust-driven compressors to create numbers worth an interjection-like reaction. Like all new SLS, it’s constructed entirely of aluminum to keep it light and nimble, a trait it shares with a few other cars, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia, Audi A8, and Tesla Model S. We know - WOW!

If you require more insanity out of your AMG then look to the Mercedes SL65 Black Series for sale. The Black Series SL65 is the definition of car insanity where everything is kicked up to ELEVEN! Only the side mirrors and doors are shared with the standard SL65, all other parts are lightweight reinforced carbon fiber plastic panels. It's wider, its lighter, it's even crazier!

The Mercedes-AMG SL65 is a hard-top, rear-wheel-drive equipped roadster that still retains a classic Biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine. Despite its hearty production of 621 horsepower and 738 pound-foot of torque, the automotive industry is changing. In our tech-savvy world, the lure of both smaller and electric-powered motors is undeniable and is leading many legendary automakers to retire their V12 engines. This is the case as well for the Mercedes-AMG SL65, with the company only reserving the V12 engines for the Maybach group. The final edition of the SL65 reaches a top speed of 186 miles per hour and can throttle from a standstill to 60 miles per hour in under four seconds. It looks every bit a Mercedes-AMG roadster and has a sleekness that will prove hard to match.
