After an eleven-year hiatus in new designs, the Italian bull maker began producing their flagship in 2001. Available in the US market by 2002, the mid-engined, V12 powerhouse featured aggressive, eye-catching exterior styling and staggering performance numbers for such a heavy car. Originally packing a 6.2 liter V12 with 572 hp, the first Lamborghini Murcielago for sale could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. In 2004, the Murcielago Roadster was introduced, featuring an updated engine with an increased displacement of 6.5 liters to create 640 hp. With other changes to the car, including structural reinforcement, the 0-60 mph time was lengthened to 3.7 seconds. With the 2005 model year came a minor facelift and internal changes to the coupe, such as the increase in engine size. The name was also changed to the Lamborghini LP-640, a designation of the engine’ longitudinally-placed orientation in the car and its horsepower. This new and improved version of the supercar was produced until 2010 and could manage 0-60 in a blistering 3.4 seconds. For the last year of production, the company upped the power output to 670 hp, stripped the car of unnecessary luxury and gave it AWD for a greater edge in performance. With the extensive use of carbon fiber and lightened exhaust, it was dubbed this aggressive edition of the LP-670-4 SV. With a permanently placed spoiler and a smattering of satin-black paint atop the glossy body, the SuperVeloce is easily identifiable next to most Italian Bats. For those interested in purchasing a used Murcielago, we have a wide selection for sale in a variety of trim levels in both roadster and hardtop versions. When new, the MSRP started at $354,000 and a fully optioned Murcielago SV sold for $382,400. The ultimate colloector

The Lamborghini Murcielago SV for sale is the ultimate version of Lamborghini’s Murcielago line. The LP 670–4 SuperVeloce for sale is a striking Italian supercar that features the most extreme version of Lamborghini’s trademark V12 engine. Thanks to updated valve timing and enhanced engine intake, the SV’s engine produces 661 max horsepower.

Only 186 LP 670-4 SV Murcielago were produced by Lamborghini between 2009-2010. They all sport sleek and sexy track-ready styling and dramatic scissors-style doors. The use of carbon fiber interior and exterior panels and a new, lighter exhaust system shaved off 220lbs from the previous Murcielago frames, making the powerful LP670 SV Murcielago faster than ever.

The Murcielago SV manual transmission is a rare option as the LP 670 SV Murcielago comes with a standard six-speed e-gear transmission. Only a handful were rumored to have been made with manual transmissions. The SV can go from 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds and reach top speeds of 211mph with an optional spoiler. With the standard Aeropak, the maximum speed is 209 mph.

The LP 670 SV Murcielago’s steering was tuned for high-speed sensitivity. It provides precise and responsive handling optimized for tight turns on the track. Unlike some Lamborghini predecessors, the Murcielago SV is street legal.

Murcielago SV for sale in the USA are highly distinctive and collectible. The luxe racing interior and bat-like exterior have never been duplicated and are highly coveted. Since fewer than 200 SV were produced before Lamborghini moved on to begin manufacturing the Aventador, used Lamborghini SV are hard to come by. Buying a used Murcielago from a reputable luxury car dealer is a rare opportunity that is not to be missed
