The 1974 Lamborghini Bravo, 1980 Lamborghini Athon, and 1967 Lamborghini Marzal will be joined by the 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero and the 1963 Chevrolet Testudo at the RM Auction stand at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy on May 21, 2011. The five cars are part of a group of six being ordered to auction as part of the liquidation of the Bertone Group. Lilli Bertone, the widow of company founder Nuccio Bertone, was able to save 84 of the 90 cars in the Bertone Group museum at a cost of 2.4-million euros.
The Lancia Stratos HF Zero is the forebearer of the Lancia Stratos rally car and shaped the look of the Lamborghini Countach. The concept car is expected to sell for up to 1.8-million euros.
The Testudo has a storied history. It was damaged during a photoshoot soon after its Geneva debut, sat in disrepair for years, went up for sale for $10,000 in 1974, and was fully restored in the early 90s. It is expected to sell for between 500,000 and 800,000 euros.
