Which Audi R8 tuner got it right?

Two different tuners took two very different approaches to the Audi R8 5.2 FSI at the 2011 International Geneva Motor Show. The Abt GT S based off the spyder V-10-powered R8 is a reinterpretation of the GT R package for the R8 V-10 Coupe that Abt unveiled last year. The Abt GT S has rear air scoops, an airplane-sized wing, a shimmering red paint, CFRP trim to lower the vehicle’s weight, and, the best part, 620 hp.

The red paint on the Abt GT S might be shimmering, but nothing will attract more attention than the MTM Biturbo package for the Audi R8 V-10 coupe. MTM says it took 700 man-hours to de-paint and polish the car’s aluminum skin to a mirror finish. The car also makes a stout 766 hp, easily surpassing the Abt package.
