The first real images of the Ferrari 599 GTO completely undisguised have surfaced on the Internet. According to a leaked Ferrari document the GTO will cost €267,136 in Europe, or $357,000 if it were just a straight exchange rate. The Ferrari 599 GTO features a two-tone paint job like the one found on the HGTE China Limited Edition. From what we can see on the pictures other changes include a pronounced diffuser, new rims, hood vents, and a small vent just aft the rear wheels. Ferrari will probably release a full statement including specs and more images within the next few days.
GTO stands for Gran Turismo Omologato, which in Italian means a street-legal racecar. The GTO name dates back to the 250 GTO, which was based off the 250 GT SWB. At that time it used a revised version of the 3.0-liter V-12 engine found in the Testa Rossa to produce 295 hp.
