Photos of the Jota prototype—the code-named Murcielago replacement—undergoing winter testing have hit the Internet. Speculation is the new Lambo will utilize the Audi R8’s aluminum spaceframe chassis and come with a carbon-fiber body like the Reventon. Styling is said to also be heavily influenced by the Reventon and the Estoque concept.
The Lambo V-12 will be retained and likely making at or near 700 hp. Like every base Lamborghini since the Diablo VT first appeared in 1993, a viscous-coupling-type all-wheel-drive system will aid in traction.
