Powered by a massive 7.3-liter V-12, the Aston Martin One-77 is on its way to becoming the brand’s fastest production car. Although testing was performed on a pre-production unit, the One-77 was capable of hitting 220.007 mph in a series of trial runs. This easily surpasses the brand’s current record held by the Vanquish S at a little more than 200 mph. Besides topping its own marque, Aston Martin hopes its One-77 will go on to become the world’s fastest British production automobile. We are guessing Aston Martin is looking to surpass the Jaguar XJ220's 217-mph record from 1992 and is bypassing the Bristol Fighter T and its claimed top speed of more than 225 mph.
