Old Saleen releases 435S

The 435S carries the Saleen name but is not a product vouched for by the man behind that well-known moniker, Steve Mark Saleen. The Saleen designation is now carried by MJ Acquisitions and the 435S is a product of the new owners of the Saleen name but still under the expertise of the people that make up Saleen Performance Vehicles.

As you may remember, Steve Saleen has gone on to create a new company, SMS Supercars, and is currently in a legal dispute with MJ Acquisitions over the use of the Saleen nameplate.

The 435S is powered by a 4.6-liter supercharged V-8 making 435 hp and 425 lbs.-ft. of torque and connected to a new short-throw 5-speed manual transmission. The car uses a Racecraft suspension, which lowers the car by 1.5 inches and improves handling. A body kit and 18-inch alloy wheels have also been added.
