The wait is almost over; the new Jaguar XJ is nearly here. Its official debut will be in a special event tomorrow in London and presented by Jay Leno. The first time one will hit U.S. soil will be in August at the 2009 Pebble Beach Conours d'Elegance.
Luckily for us, photos of the new Jaguar have already begun to surface. For the past…oh…40 years of the XJ, the styling has never really changed from its same basic outline and major styling cues, until now. The new XJ is a big departure from what we have come to expect from the luxury brand’s flagship model. With its styling nod to the Jaguar XF and a hint of design taken from the other big boys in the luxury market: the Audi A8, the BMW 7-series, and the Mercedes S-class, the new XJ is sure to make a much needed splash on the marketplace.
