The next generation F430 is on its way. Code named the F142, and rumored to be called the F450, the 430 successor has been spotted, nearly undisguised, in Italy and is likely to make its world debut in fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Power will come from a modified version of the direct-injected 4.3-liter V-8 found in the California. Expect a bump in displacement to near 5.0-liters and an increase of motor muscle approaching 600 hp. The dual-clutch gearbox found in the new California will slowly proliferate to the rest of the Ferrari line up, including the F142.
The F430 surpassed the F360’s performance by leaps and bounds and expect the F142 to do the same to the F430. To do this, Ferrari is going to utilize a lighter and more rigid aluminum body, active dampers, active aerodynamics, a lower center of gravity, better weight distribution, and carbon-ceramic brakes.
