In late 2007, Bentley announced the Continental GT Speed, a sportier 600-hp version of its well-selling coupe. During the summer of 2008, Bentley let the public know that the Continental Flying Spur, the four-door GT, would also be getting the Speed treatment. Today, it is with no great surprise that Bentley has announced that the Continental GTC, the convertible GT, would now be available with the Speed package.
The centerpiece of the Speed package is the 6.0-liter W-12 engine that churns out 600 hp, allowing the GTC to reach speeds up to 200 mph—195 mph with the convertible top down. Some of the other alterations included a revised and lowered suspension, a new set of rims and tires, and some subtle styling changes. Read our Bentley Continental overview here.
