The Lamborghini Countach lasted from 1974 to 1990, or 16 years. The Lamborghini Diablo lasted from 1990 to 2001, or 11 years. The Lamborghini Murcielago has been around since 2001, which means it is heading into its eighth year. That means a replacement, with a new name, is most likely on its way. Below we have a test mule wearing a Murcielago shell and riding around the city streets.
Speculation has it that the replacement will utilize an aluminum space frame instead of the current steel one. The engine will mostly likely stay the same 6.5-liter V-12 currently being used but producing more power. Like the Reventon, Carbon fiber might be substantially make up the body panels of the car.
