BMW introduced M versions of both its X5 and X6 SUVs at the New York Auto Show this week. The pair is powered by a version of the 4.4-liter V-8 making 555 hp at 6,000 rpm and 500 lbs.-ft. of torque at 5,650 rpm. Zero-to-60 mph should take a scant 4.5 seconds for the bulky duo.
Handling in all of its encompassing terms, including lateral grip, steering response, balance, and stopping power, has also been greatly increased through careful tuning of its xDrive, Dynamic Performance Control, and Dynamic Stability Control systems.
