1959 Carrera GS. Ruby Red/Black Interior. Chassis #105578 Engine # P93047 Trans # 23268 128 BBAA 31,855 Original Miles Originally purchased by Air Force Captain Ed Hartenberger , who was stationed in Munich in 1959. He ordered the car specifically to be driven on the Autobahn with a GT 80 Litre Gas Tank, GT brakes, and 400mm wood steering wheel. Captain Hartenberger took delivery on June 16 th , 1959. This Carrera came to the US two years later and has remained here in the US ever since. Engine restored in mid 90s by Bill Doyle. Original body panels, luggage compartment, hood hinges, floorpans, battery pan, and drivetrain, even the sills have the correct numbers stamped in them. Spare tire date 12/58.
